Austin (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest at Indianapolis, Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis: Austin practiced in a limited capacity all week, marking his first on-field activity since picking up a right groin strain Oct. 14. On Wednesday, he told Calvin Watkins of The Athletic that he's feeling "much better," which could help him serve as the Cowboys' punt returner and even earn a handful off offensive plays Sunday, if active.

I never fully understood the extent of his injury, been out since Oct 14, that seems like a long time for a strain,, was this a slight tear?

Oh it's clear something in the groin area is very weak/injured....

Dude’s groin muscke was torn off the bone... not sure how it doesn’t require surgery— but whatevs

This seems like the kind of return that will last a quarter and then it’s reaggravated and he is done for the year

That's what I thought as well, and why I was wondering why it was only listed as a strain.

That's pretty much the view of what I was gonna post, before deleting the 3/4 completed composition in deciding not to engage in thread participationo_O

Tavon Austin doesn't produce because if you watch him play, and I mean seriously watch his routes. He gets pushed off his line super easy, he doesn't use his speed because if the defender touches him it stops him dead on his tracks. The dude is just way to weak. He needs to have a clean release every single time or he's done.

Put him in motion then?

I forgot about this guy. I hope he's back. Now with the attention Cooper gets, he might get more his way.

PLEASE just be healthy for the playoffs
Also I wasnt a huge Tavon believer after we acquired him, but I want to resign him in the offseason

I think he will be a semi-healthy scratch. It is what this team does. hold him out 1 more week. But I guess I can see it. Have him 100% net week.

If we clinch the division tomorrow, I would rest him if I was the Cowboys coaching staff. So, that we can replace Beasley with Austin on some of the punt returns in the playoffs.
