Tavon getting close

Dude’s groin muscke was torn off the bone... not sure how it doesn’t require surgery— but whatevs

This seems like the kind of return that will last a quarter and then it’s reaggravated and he is done for the year
That happens many times
A play comes back and is gone again
I’d just wait till the last game and get him some reps
We can do without the jet sweep another week or two

:eek::omg:

Tavon Austin doesn't produce because if you watch him play, and I mean seriously watch his routes. He gets pushed off his line super easy, he doesn't use his speed because if the defender touches him it stops him dead on his tracks. The dude is just way to weak. He needs to have a clean release every single time or he's done.

That's why LA mostly had him as a gadget guy and getting the ball on the move.

If we clinch the division tomorrow, I would rest him if I was the Cowboys coaching staff. So, that we can replace Beasley with Austin on some of the punt returns in the playoffs.

We play at 12 pm central how are we going to know if we've won the division?

Better chance of being on the roster next year
Tavon Austin
Cole Beasley

?

I say Tavon.

Austin (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest at Indianapolis, Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis: Austin practiced in a limited capacity all week, marking his first on-field activity since picking up a right groin strain Oct. 14. On Wednesday, he told Calvin Watkins of The Athletic that he's feeling "much better," which could help him serve as the Cowboys' punt returner and even earn a handful off offensive plays Sunday, if active.

I never fully understood the extent of his injury, been out since Oct 14, that seems like a long time for a strain,, was this a slight tear?

Do they need him as a WR at this point?

He would be a good backup for Beasley and good for those 2 plays per game they run a reverse or jet sweep type play; however, Cooper has that short area quickness that Beasley and Tavon both possess. Without Cooper there were more plays for Tavon, IMO.

Exactly, I never was a believer in the Tavon for 15 plays a game, but just like you said, a couple sweeps a game can open up other plays downfield if done right.

Jerry might learn that keeping a fragile star is not worth it.
Cooper
Gallup
Bease
Jarwin

All others are just fill-ins.
