And just like the his college career, he failed to grab an interception during that impressive work out.

He certainly has his negatives as well as his positives.

Wasting your time. He's Roy Williams. Not even the real Roy Williams, the fictional version of Roy Williams that sucked his entire career.

How about you let him get in the pros before proclaiming him a bust. I'll never understand the need of some people to proclaim a guy is going to be awful before he's even had a chance to play in the NFL.

I'll never forget the love for Jamarcus Russell by all the NFL scouts and about 70% of us on this board thought he was a terd sandwich.

I was thinking the same thing. Of course if he does good in the NFL, all these Mays haters will flip and blame Jerry for not drafting him.

If a DB does not make plays in college he will not make plays in the pros.

Troy Polamalu's college stats - 281 tackles 6 INT 2-time AP All-American
Adrian Wilson's college stats - 254 tackles 3 INT
Taylor Mays' college stats - 276 tackles 5 INT 3- time AP All-American

Polamalu is a 5X Pro Bowler in the NFL. Wilson is a 3X Pro Bowler.

We see what we want to see.

why are people bashing Roy Williams in this thread....and even trying to compare Mays to him. Roy was a beast at OU. He was one of the most dominant defensive players in the nation while in college. Then in the NFL, he had 3 great years, and seemed destined for the HOF. Then we got rid of Zimmer, moved him to SS, and his career went down the toilet, like a corn nugget. It seems now that he is back with Zimmer and back at FS, his career is getting back on track. He is not where he was his first 3 years, but he is still better than he was his last two years in Dallas.

What has Mays done in college, other than lay the wood on a couple of people. He is NO PLAYS Mays for a reason.....all that athletic ability and one more....the ability to disappear on national TV. Now he may turn into a great pro, but just based on college careers alone, Roy owns Mays and it isn't even close.

Roy actually made game changing plays in college.

Mays....well. I watch Pac 10 football. He's not even one of the top safeties in the Pac 10
