Ohhhhh...I am shaking in my boooootssss....oooohhhh steamrolled...and you put a picture of a steamroller on it....he had 43 yards on 15 carries at home...he's clearly "garbage." Ok I am being all kinds of sarcastic here...I do have a lot of respect for Barber -- I love that style of running. I also have a big disdain for referring to someone as garbage. It's really classless and ignorant.

As much as I respect Barber -- he is setting himself up for a short career. That running style wears one out. I'd also like to see him carry the load.

Does anyone know what his YPC is after he hits 20 carries?

Condescending wise guy, humm, do I want to play or pass?

Why bother?

Further looking at this deal, it reminds me of the Hugh Douglas to Jacksonville move a few years ago.

A quality pass rusher goes to a team in a rebuilding mode and to what end?

Douglas was a good DE on the downside of his career with a year or two left in the tank.

The Jaguars signed him to a big money contract and I couldn't figure out why.

That same year, they had drafted Byron Leftwich and were going with him as their starting QB.

So why sign a DE with one or twwo years left? By the time the team is any good, he'll be done.

I see the same situation with Washington.

They're undergoing a change in schemes which will undoubtedly lead to some growing pains for Campbell and the offense in general.

By the time everyone gets up to speed, it will be time for Jason Taylor to ride off into the sunset.

So after review, this is a move that doesn't make a great deal of sense to me.

But there is no "getting up to speed" in Washington. They haven't had a non rebuilding year since Snyder bought the team. Every year they cap themselves out but every year they walk away from cap hell. Taylor gives them a one or two year window and Zorn will probably last that long as well.

They needed a DE and got a good one. They will probably make the playoffs again and once you are in, anything can happen. This helps them this year and that is how the Commanders build. It hasn't worked out but who needs facts when you have cash??

I'm not surprised.

I was more comparing situations than players.

Not surprising you missed that.

Douglas had 12.5 the year before he arrived in Jacksonville and came up with 3.5 in his one season in Jacksonville.

Taylor had 11 last year for the Dolphins. We'll have to see what he does for the Commanders this season. I think he's bound to do better than Douglas did for the Jags.

But by the time Campbell and the offense get going, it will be time for Jason Taylor to do the same.

This year, he is lead dog.

That second game last year was garbage, TO & Romo hurting. Not hard to stop a 1 dimensional team.

We'll see how your DE's hold the corners (their ground) when you guys get a full dose of "the Barbarian". Can you say ed!!!!!!!

Second game last year was garbage because cowboys never play hard last few games of the year and playing Romo just play just a half and Alot of starter sit out. Damn I found why cowboys have not won a playoffs game since 1996. Better hope TO or Romo dont get hurt this season

You mean to tell me teams might struggle if their starting QB gets hurt?

Huh.

You might be on to something.

But, expect your idea to get rejected..... I think you are simply ahead of your time, here.

Edit: By any chance, you don't happen to know a Bean Burrito, do you?

I agree that the 2nd game was basically meaningless.

But the first game, he had 15 carries. Thats more than enough to do something against them. He didn't. It is what it is.

it's not the same D, they won't be able to stop the run this year, 2 weak run-stopping DEs

but they have Cornelius Griffin...for about 6-8 weeks, before he gets dinged up again
