I agree that just about every area has some interest. Except K.
Even the FB position, as to will they keep a FB or try the TE blocking scheme again. P?, will Jones be pushed and get replaced......

Backup QB and development. OL with Collins / Leary, will Free recover or be pushed for his spot. The 5th WR, return guy, or do they keep 6.
Then the defense as in entirety on several levels.

RB position has my most interest for now, as it seems more unknown at this point. Then DT's and depth, who are the last few guys that will step up. I am rooting for Whaley at this point also.

What am I looking forward to, besides the obvious no injuries?

1.) Byron Jones at FS (don't think it will happen, but I would love it)
2.) O-line vs D-line battles. I think Tyron vs Hardy/Gregory will could be really good.
3.) One of the KR/PR candidates stepping up. My guess is Whitehead, but it really doesn't matter to me.
4.) One of the RBs stepping up. Not sure who, but one will.
5.) Terrence Williams becoming more consistent. I don't think he is long for this team, mainly because if he plays well, he will price himself out of our market, but we should milk his time here.
6.) Actually excited to see Terrell McClain. I think he could have a really good year as a part time player if he can remain healthy.
7.) Excited to see Sean Lee again as well.

#1: Lee staying healthy & the team pacing his work (doing so could be huge for the D...to include the nickel)

#2: How the RB situation begins to shake out (who emerges...roles defined)

#3: Hitchens maturation in the middle & who starts at SAM

#4: How Jones & White adapt to their 'versatile' roles (a key for the secondary depth wise IMO)

#5: Seeing Gregory perform with the pads on

#6: The return game

#7: Can LB Wilson fill the role Hitchens did last season

#8: The OL (how things come together to include depth)

EVERYONE staying as healthy as possible.

What I want to see is that great offensive line become legendary.
I want to see if the running game keep imposing its will on defenses.
I want to see Randy Gregory take the league by storm.

I want to see how Mo and Lee have recovered. We know Lee will look great, but how will Mo look and play.

We don't know how Lee will look he's missed an entire year and most players don't return to form until a year after an ACL. Lee will be 29 by the time camp starts so I wouldn't be assuming anything with him until we see if he's still the same player and if he can hold up. With his injury history it's hard to count on him he could go down at any time. Very good player when he's been healthy but his repeated injuries have soured me on him.

I look for the same things I always look for in camp how the rookies are doing and hope the Cowboys can avoid any significant injuries. It's hard to really gage much during camp and preseason because teams are so fearful of injuries. You really don't know where your team is at until the real bullets start flying during the regular season.

Who would be the 3rd CB if Jones was at Safety?

I think White will be the 3rd Safety and might push for some playing time in certain situations. Last year there were times when Church was replaced by none other than Jeff Heath in some obvious passing situations. White would be much better replacing Church than Heath.

Hoping Mo can fill that role. I know it's along shot, I just think Jones has a chance to be real special at safety

I always forget about Claiborne. In my mind Scandrick, Carr and Jones are top 3 and Patmon or White is #4.

Claiborne has not been as bad as many people claim, but I just don't expect him to play much. He was oft injured before and now he has to come back from a major injury. My understanding is that it's harder to recover from a Patella injury than an ACL.

I'd like to see some fire out of McFadden and more of an "I want to be the lead running back" attitude rather than the "whatever they need me to do" I've seen and heard so far.
It would be great to see some fight between he and Randle for that starting role.

I'm also curious to see how several of the offensive tackles are recovered from injury. Is Doug Free ready to roll? Will Laurence Gibson be ready for training camp after missing a good portion of OTA's and mini-camp? And what's the story on Chaz Green? Is he close to seeing the field or a PUP/IR candidate?

And I think the battle for the 5th and possibly 6th receiver spot will be fun to watch.

My feelings exactly, its been on the back burner and I havent brought it up, but TC is approaching and this point will be scrutinized.

Wow, there's just so much that I'm interested in seeing in camp. I will pick a few that immediately come to mind:

Marinelli's DL:

* I have really high hopes for Gregory and look forward to his battles with Smith as well as how he performs in the PS Games.
* Hardy. How does his presence change the dynamics along the DL? How does his high work ethic effect the other members of the defense?
* How is Lawrence playing on the strong side? How is his run defense there?
* Is Crawford taking the next step like many expect?
* Who plays DT in the nickle? Hardy and Lawrence and Mincey like we all expect, or will Gardner and Russell surprise with their versatility and get some snaps inside?

RB:

* I think Randle is going to surprise a lot of people... will he be as good as I think?
* McFadden should be rejuvenated going from a team like Oakland to one like Dallas. Will he play with a renewed intensity?
* Can Ryan Williams play well enough on special teams and can he pick up the blitz well enough to make a push?
* Will the team actually use Dunbar?

DB:

* How will the team use the versatility of Jones and White? I expect them to play in a lot of sub-packages. Will they?
* Jones has really impressed so far... will he continue to do so when the pads come on and 88 is lined up against him?
* Will Carr be on the left side still or will Scandrick?
* Is JJ Wilcox progressing? Is he playing more naturally and taking proper angles, or is that still a struggle?
* Will Chruch and Wilcox lose time in sub packages to Jones and White? How much will they actually play and are they just two down safeties now?
* Will Caliborne become a decent player in his final season in Dallas?

LB:

* Will Brinkley hold down the MLB spot on run downs while McClain is out?
* Will Wilson be as good early as I think he will be?
* Who plays where?
* Will Lee stay healthy on the Weak Side?

OL:

* Who plays where and how quickly will that unit gel and get chemistry working together?
* Collins and his push to be starting LG. Will he win the spot?
* WIll the loser between Leary and Collins come in as a TE in jumbo packages?
* Can Weems be the swing tackle and provide some insurance in the coaches eyes?

Kick/Punt Returner:

* Who?

And, as always... being a draftnik... how do the rookies look? Which UDFA's can make a push to make the 53?
