It is truly impressive but it should be pointed out that Prescott has had a bit of luck with a few passes that should have been intercepted but were not caught by a defender. However, it is also true that some degree of good or bad luck happens to every quarterback everywhere. Here's hoping the small amount of luck that has benefited Prescott lasts his entire career.
You can also say that quite a few of his INTs were not his fault but off the WR's hands and wrong routes.

Luck is an elite chucker. Like Favre. He has had horrible management (makes ours look like NE). He's been killed most of his years in the league, due to inexcusable drafting at OL

I know it's not popular on this board to like Luck, same for Winston. But it is what it is.

Luck is a phenom who has been destroyed, thus far, by a disgusting owner and top mgmt

luck has been over rated since he came into the NFL. He got passes on games no other rookie QB got; and since then pretty much the same.

He hasn't. He has been killed by opposing Ds since he came into the league.

Your argument, with respect DF, is tired. It's said over and over again, my brother.

Like I said, my opinion isn't popular on this board, yet its very true. Luck is every bit a phenom, being held back by disgusting filth at the top levels of the Colts org, led by Irsay.

Thank you. That is my point as well. It is an observation that any football fan should understand. For me, a quarterback has done his job if his throws are directed within the receiver's catch radius. Perfect passes are gravy but all passes are neither perfect nor necessary. It is the receiver's responsibility to catch catchable passes--not the quarterback's.

It has always troubled me when any quarterback--even the opposing quarterback of the team I am rooting against--is blamed for interceptions that are not his fault. It is idiotic and stupid. Prescott's career has started off tremendously as indicated by the OP. I hope that he does not endure the nonsense of foolish football opinion as his career (hopefully VERY fruitful career) progresses.

Add fumbles to the equation and the disparity gets even huger.

This is where I've been most impressed with Dak this year. I believe he put the ball on the ground 9 times last year. There was a stretch during that Pittsburgh-Green Bay stretch where it seemed like it was becoming a problem.

Fast forward, and I believe he has just one fumble through 8 games this year.

there is no such thing as a true OPINION.

Half of the interceptions he's thrown this season hit his receiver in the hands.

They ran several stats on Dak during the game listing his three interceptions and this point is the only thing I yelled at the screen the entire game. Dak has three picks this year and two of them were perfect passes that the WR volleyballed into a DBs chest. He has one pick this year that is on him.

I think the Talib pick is on him. I know some say it was a bad route by Dez, but it was glaring. Is that yours, Kai?

Dak is more careful with ball security overall than just about any young QB I have ever seen. Now there have been some about as good but they all were so scared to take any chances that they stank it up. Check down artists.

With all this being said, Dak is propping and positioning himself as an elite QB. TD:INT is the truest stat, for me, for a QB over the course of a 16 game season. It's the only metric I use. Not QBR (even tho he's elite there, too), QB Rating, YDs, comp %.

Y/PA is the only other stat the comes close.

It's TD:INT, period, for me. And Dak is amazing in this department.

Yup. He's already approaching Brady in this aspect. It's amazing to see, DF

I don't understand how anyone hates him.

I just really don't.

It makes no sense to me at all.
It's the rueage of not trading up for Carson Wentz.

Or how he took over Romo's job. They believe Romo should have gotten his job back.

Those 2 things. They will never get over it.

TD:INT is what makes a QB elite for me. If he finishes the season over 30:10 (and at 10 INTs or fewer), he will have entered elite territory. I think Romo did it twice.

I bump up the INT limit in increments of 1:5 INT/TD, example -- 35:11, 40:12 etc.

Dak is having an elite season. Even 3,500 YDs, 30:9 is elite. I count two rushing TDs, for a QB, for every one receiving TD.

We have a burgeoning elite QB in this new crop of young QBs. We have a burgeoning Tom Brady with legs that needs this D to continue to develop. If it (the D) does, we will have a champion QB
Romo did have to take more chances or try to make something out of nothing more than Dak though. Dak has a top OL and a top rb, Romo rarely had that.

I love Luck and if he became available, even with Dak I would be tempted!

Luck has gotten Carr'ed in his short career unfortunately.

I would never argue that, Rags. Our Romo was robbed of a HoF career by an inept FO the same way Luck is.

Romo was special. I am incensed his career went the way it did. And all these idiot pundits that are unable to see the forest from the trees that he suffered from an org that put it all on his shoulders.

Arguably, Aven, he's been Romo'd.

At least with Luck and Carr, the media respect them. Only diehard aficionados know the greatness of the three, rather than the two aforementioned.

Dilfer and Wingo, and at times Cowherd, were the only large voices, outside of Cowboy land, that realized the greatness of Tony. Our #9.
