The objective is pretty straight forward, but interesting enough to keep his guys engaged while drilling fundamental points early on in camp.

Yes. Introduce the unexpected or something worse or different than another person defending you. Then Gwen it's fame time the defender seems less significant.

The next drill he will have them do is to run and catch passes while using a snorkle. This will get them to concentrate through limited oxygen and distractions.

Later in camp he will tie the goggles and snorkles together by making catch passes in freezing cold water.

Reminds me of "fire in the hole" days of being a pledge. We were forced into a small room, about 20 of us, all smoking cigars for hours with someone throwing ice water in every now and then. If we let the cherry go out, we received additional hazing

I believe that practice was borrowed from the yzarc people of northern borneo.
