TE is now our weakness

If Ferguson doesn’t bounce back and Schoonmaker doesn’t take a major jump then TE will be high on our list in next years draft.
No. Ferg just needs to get fully healthy and he should be. Schoon doesn't need to take a major leap he should be better and he looked good when given the chance last year. Additionally the Cowboys have Spann-Ford and Fant plus that Neville kid out of Virginia they really like. There is no reason to spend any high draft capital next year on a TE.

Well, one way to stop or limit a team's run is to have a good run game yourself. I mean, sometimes one side of the ball can impact the other.

No defense wants to play with a bottom of the barrel offense because it's difficult to win that way.
I don't think anyone disagrees with that, but we seem to have a lot of people here who don't face facts that at some point you have to invest heavily in defense if you want a good defense.

I agree with the OP. Ferguson won't get a pass this time. There will be competition for TE 1.

Schoon has been figuring it out, getting better. He might make a nice jump this year. Ferguson has been disappointing. He needs to get healthy and get better. They are eying his replacement. I think the pressure is on him this year.

Must read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dallas Cowboys 2025 defensive draft picks: Donavan Ezeiruaku, edge, Boston college, pk number 144, Shavon Revel CB,East Carolina, pk number 176, Samar James lb Florida pk #152, Jay Toia dt UCLA pk #217, Tommy Akingbesote dt Maryland #247. I don't see anything wrong with this. 5 of 9 draft picks going to the defense.

There won’t be any reason to spend a high draft pick on a TE if someone we have steps up and becomes an elite player at the position. If someone doesn’t the Cowboys will be looking to upgrade the position.
