TE is now our weakness

Just today, in various zone comments, I’ve read that each of these spots are the most critical weakness of the team

Tight End
Left Tackle
Defensive Tackle
Linebacker
Cornerback
Safety
Running Back
Quarterback
Coach
GM
Owner

Cowboys fandom is schizophrenic and not to be taken seriously.
Hmmm, I think GM and Owner should be in BOLD

I disagree. improve the defense and the offense benefits. less need to score. can win close games. just offense never wins any championships. must have the defense. and right our defense outside of Parsons ain't looking so great. the second best player is probably Osa and that's not saying much.
Agreed I don't see why this is so complicated for some posters - the best way to improve the defense is to add better players - ON DEFENSE.

Every year is different, but I wouldn't call 1 td between the two of them "serviceable". At this point I'm just hoping Spann-Ford improves...
The entire offense had issues last year. Not going to put too much stock in the skill players performance once Dak went down

Not that it mattered last year when Dak wasn't down. It was putrid either way. How much of that was personnel and how much was scheme and culture?

Good question and you're right. The offense was just off. Fergy had a decent knee injury early on. He came back, but I always wondered if he was at 80% or so the entire year. That injury looked like it could of been bad

Who can we sign or trade for. Ferguson ain’t it. Maybe good #2 but I don’t need see him starting.
Ferguson’s a DOG and isn’t going anywhere. He’s going to be a big part of the offense when teams try to double both Lamb and Pickens or use some fancy zone to mirror both.

If Ferguson doesn’t bounce back and Schoonmaker doesn’t take a major jump then TE will be high on our list in next years draft.

Before Dak went down, Ferguson was on pace to exceed his numbers from the previous season. Ferguson was on pace for 81 receptions.

When there is a new starting QB, the statistics tend to shift to those players that spent the most practice time with the new starter. It's only natural that he is going to be more comfortable throwing to familiar targets and those are typically WR3, TE2, etc.

Tolbert had 7 TD's, only 2 from Dak. On the other hand, 4 of Lambs 6 TDs came from Dak. Schoonmaker's lone TD came from Rush.

Well, one way to stop or limit a team's run is to have a good run game yourself. I mean, sometimes one side of the ball can impact the other.

No defense wants to play with a bottom of the barrel offense because it's difficult to win that way.
