I said it before. Just run a WR screen with either Bease or Swtizer with Rico blocking in front of them No defender will be able to see them run behind Rico.

I wonder if Tapper will be out there.

No.

Charles Tapper was briefly on the active roster last season before being moved to Injured Reserve, so he isn't eligible going by the reports I've read. It seems silly to prevent a player who hasn't taken a snap yet to participate in a rookie mini-camp, but that's the NFL.

The following veterans will take part in the Cowboys' rookie minicamp this weekend: LB Jaylon Smith, OL Clay DeBord, TE Rico Gathers, WR Andy Jones, S Jameill Showers, DE Lenny Jones, P Sam Irwin-Hill, DB Duke Thomas, LS/DE Zach Wood and WR Uzoma Nwachukwu. Smith will take part in walkthroughs and meetings but not practice.

Glad to see Jones will be out there, and a little surprised that Showers will be.

If he learns to block and run a pattern or two I think he can be good... a couple of pro bowls before it's done

Kid looks like an animal and best part seems to want to put in the time into his craft which is what really is important he's not happy just collecting a check

I am dyin to see if Rico can, in fact, play football.

Me too. I'm grateful to see that the staff is giving a youngster a decent chance to make it -- this hasn't always been the case in the past.

Of course, they also realize the tremendous potential that's so obvious to see in him. If he's all they think he is, it'll pay off handsomely.
