Can't argue with these choices

Some more after listening to Wade's PC:

Mat McBriar will be a game captain the first game, and the "Special Teams MVP" will be a captain for each game on a weekly basis.

I actually like Parcell's method of having random role players as team captains.

Cowboys Announce 2009 Captains; No Surprises

The Cowboys have voted on their captains for the upcoming season and no shockers here.

Tony Romo and Jason Witten on offense and DeMarcus Ware and Bradie James on defense. You’ve got your vocal guys in James and Witten, along with guys like Ware and Romo who have both vowed to be heard a little more this season.

Wade Phillips announced there would be a fifth special teams captain each week as well. Punter Mat McBriar, making his first game back from a broken foot injury last year, will be the captain against Tampa. Phillips said the team will rotate the special teams captain each week, based on their player from the previous game.

Umm... He did not do that.

Parcells was adamant about his captains. One offense. One defense. And that's it.

Personally, I think Roy Williams should have been anointed captain to set the tone.

Oh well. :(

Like Mosley said, the only former "TO guys" he could think of who might possibly have a problem with Romo and Witten are Barber and Crayton, and Crayton especially seems fine. (And of course Barber never says anything.)

Actions speak louder than words or titles....
