We mostly all know that Romo ran this Offense. He made things happen. If he didn’t like the play then he changed it either in the huddle or at the line. We are in a spot where Dak don’t know enough to be able to do that yet.

With the conservative play calling and decisions being made in a few games these players are either going to give up on JG and his playcaller or start taking things in there own hands. Like the thread I saw that showed with 12 seconds left Elliot has a nice lane on the left and he saw it but clearly was told to just get a few yards and stay in the hash marks and secure the ball to set up for a lengthy FG. What HC does that with 12 seconds and a time out? Let them try to win.

Do you all think JG has lost the team yet? Is it starting? If we see it from our house then you know the players do. At what point if any does the players start taking the game into there own hands and risk making the mistakes instead of letting the HC take the game and opportunity out of there hands. This team has been playing together long enough to be trusted. Dak in his 3rd year while still being kind of green to the game has earned the right to have his HC be confident enough in him to say go win.

I wonder if it’s a power thing for JG. JJ has all the power and taken playcalling away from him so all he gets is 2 challenge flags, calling time outs and making these game changing decisions at the end of close games. He has blown 2 games this year.

I truly believe if the Offensive players were being honest they would say our play calling in many situations is way to PREDICTABLE and our play book is very basic. I’m sure the players are grumbling amongst themselves about Garrett and Linehan. Hurns because of his play AND because he is outspoken will probably be released soon if Garrett has his way.

Garrett has never been good at game management.

Garrett might be a good GM where decisions can be planned out; however, the real-time nature of coaching is not a good fit for him.

I'll admit that I wouldn't be good at the real-time decisions either. I think I could be a competent NFL GM but I would not be a good NFL coach...I like to over-think things...

Is it starting?

No, and no.

There was a horrid three game stretch last season where we took three consecutive L’s and were out scored 92-22. Not only did he not lose the locker room then, but we bounced back and won the next three by a margin of 88-41.

Like him or hate him, all things aside, JG somehow has a way of keeping the locker room together.
LOTS of coaches would not have been able to survive that slump we had last season.

I don’t think he’s even close to losing this team right now.

Here we go trying to promote a narrative you guys find comfortable again and getting everybody to agree with it so that we can pretend it’s fact.

We don’t all agree that Romo ran this offense. In fact, I remember pretty clearly Romo being a fan of Linehan when he got here.

And the predictability was never at issue when the team was scoring more points than most of the other teams in the league. Predictable doesn’t matter if the offense is effective. We saw that in 2016.

The issue right now is that we’re not protecting the QB well on the road.

LOL...........Amazing how Dak doenst know how to run an offense, but went 13-3 his rookie year and won 11 games in a row. In fact if it wasnt for Garrett blowing the game management, Dak drove them down for the winning score that would have put them in the championship game that year.

Do you think its an issue that Garrett ran out of town our best Oline coach when he was here?

Sure it is. He's worked to undermine and get rid of anyone and everyone who might be viewed as a threat. First Dan Reeves, brought in to "help" a coordinator who didn't know and has never learned, how to call a running game. Then the stories and claims from the man himself that Garrett undermined him when he was the head coach. And then to the issues between Garrett and Callahan, one of the few coaches hired here who was actually good at the job he was hired for.

But, he wasn't a "Garrett guy", so, he had to go too. And here we are.

Players have to execute...not much difference in coaching at this level. I know that's hard to realize for some

So Romo was the one running the offense and abandoning the run pre-2014? I apologize to Garrett and now curse Romo for doing that.

Winning in spite of terrible coaching is like putting lipstick on a pig.....at the end of the day it's still a pig..........why would anyone want to give a false bravado when it isn't warranted? That is exactly why we still have an incompetent HC after 9 years and counting.

lol, they're spitting images of one another football wise.

What fans see from their house is not necessarily how the players see it. JG has clearly lost a large portion of the fan base, but I wouldn't project that point of view on the players. The truth is, we don't know what most (if any) of them really think of JG.
