When you look at the TE prospects that were expected to visit this week, the likes of Woods, Ruckert and Otton are all considered solid 3rd rd prospects. They also did bring in Wydermyer but who knows where his landing spot is after his poor offseason testing.
Charlie Kolar is another one. I want Woods and Ruckert badly. If they got both they would have 2 solid tight ends for years to come. I like Otton a lot also. Ferguson from Wisconsin is another good one.

Kolar is very good as a receiver, but doesn't offer the same upside as a blocker. Good prospect, but I feel we can get a better option.

Check out Ruckert as a blocker. I will be stoked if they get Ruckert, Woods, and Marcus Jones. Throw in the kicker from LSU as well.

I'm all in for taking a PK. As for TE: Woods, Ruckert or Otton for me.

I think many are going to be disappointed as I think we are about to see a offensive heavy class with very little defensive help. Just look at fa, offense has lost several starters, defense is all back except Gregory and they probably add another edge rusher via the draft or fa

That is my fear.

I'm doing a team by team mock draft the whole draft and for the Cowboys I selected Jake Ferguson TE Wisconsin at #88 . McBride,Woods,Ruckert, and Kolar were already drafted higher.

Offense has major holes, where Defense really just needs an elite NT.

NT, EDGE, LB

Defense absolutely needs upgrades at these positions.

Elite NT is a start but doesn't fix run stopping issues by himself.

Re-signing LVE was a head scratcher, huge part of problem.

Lve is just a base down player who comes off the field against the pass. You aren’t going to find a better option making 3 million for a season. Agree, NT, Edge

LVE was a huge liability on goal line and obvious run downs.

And Neal was even worse.

Cox by will help in passing game but he is a huge question mark in run game.

Need another run defender, Micah cannot do everything by himself.

That's an easy fix to find a 2 down run defending linebacker. I also think you are discounting Lve somewhat. He actually played well down the stretch, once the lineman started to get healthy. Anyway, a day 3 priority to fill.

Obviously not as easy as we think.

How long has it been since Cowboys had a legit thumper in the middle?

Since Purple Drank maybe.

And LVE has never been same since fused neck surgery. Expecting him to become even more physical vs run maybe setting ourselves up for heartbreak.

He is a part time bridge player at this juncture

100 percent this team will draft a TE early. I would bet they're looking to move on from paying their TE 10 m a year (cap boy) but don't want to completely dismantle this year's offense.

I'd expect us to get a guy like Ruckert or Otten in 4, or McBride or Woods if they somehow fall to our 3 (more likely they go in two)

If we don't, I'd expect them to then sign a long term deal with Schultz after the draft. If they do get one, Schultz walks after this year
I like Woods. He had a great combine. The McBride kid and the TE from UCLA are athletic and can block.

There’s a reason Woods was used mostly as a blocker at Oklahoma.
At VA, he showed he has skills, but his hands are very questionable. He had a very high rate of drops.
