I keep asking but no one will answer. W/ Revel/Bland/Carson, how is CB a need at all? Looks like we're solid there.

First 2 things we need are MLB and a pass rushing DE.

Then free safety and maybe even a RB if Williams is too expensive.

2026 is the last thing on my mind.

What the Cowboys need is to stay as healthy as possible and get a few more guys back in time to make some impact.

We have no idea what this team will need next season.

Every season has its own unique set of circumstances influenced by contract negotiations, injuries and even surprise retirements.

Attempting to carry any type of momentum into another season is practically impossible with the turnover that occurs every year.

They've got one legitimate undersized DE who's going to have to play in rotation, the other is a one trick pony average speed rusher who's a major liability vs the run.
Hooker is a more than capable FS. Alijah Clark will have had a year of development.

This team looks entirely different post trade deadline. The defense particularly looks like it is not even the same team. This defense (productively) looks like a top 5 defense without a true end pass rusher.

The offense looks much better. When Shotty is “on” calling plays this offense is pretty productive. I think he is starting to figure out what this team does well and what it does not.

Having said all of the foregoing, what do you think needs to be added/changed for this team to take it up another level?

I see safety and linebacker as needing help and another legitimate, productive RB. Davis might end up being that guy, but I would like a legit back that causes stress on an opponent.

I would love to see the Cowboys add a FA safety, LB and RB and then stick exclusively to their board regardless of position. Possibly trade back with one of those FRPs and get two more picks in the top 75.

We have pass rushers. One of our problems when drafting for the defense we it's like a slice of bread we are or were drafting the crust, meaning CBs, and Pass rushers, or signing them in FA, we never looked to shore up the middle , meaning big bodies 1and 3 Techs, LBs and safeties. Wait I take that back we drafted Micah as a LB, but when they saw he could rushed the passer they left him there instead of making him play LB that can also rush the pass ala Lawrence Taylor. Everyone likes to look at the eagles well their defense is the strength of of the middle, same with the ravens , and other good defenses. that can help the LBs and DBs. Look how we are getting pressure now from the middle and our pass rushers. look how bad our defenses were when we had Parsons, look how the raiders defense look with their premier pass rusher, look at how the bengals defense look with theirs,
I say stick with the board, get good FAs or trade
