Tony Romo's practice habits were reportedly "so bad" that several Dallas players lost respect for Jason Garrett's inability to "corrall" Romo in practice.

Romo reportedly did not treat practice work consistently and he forced throws too often. If true, perhaps Romo has become the "superstar QB" that Bill Parcells warned against. It's impossible to know the complete truth here, but it's obvious there is a troubling level of discord between Garrett, Romo, and various teammates.

A comprehensive pattern of team-wide turmoil and lack of discipline reportedly plagued the Cowboys throughout the 2008 season.

The team charter left late for road games five times this season because of player tardiness. It seems no player was immune from late arrivals, missed meetings, undisciplined practices, and broken relationships with coaches. While Jerry Jones stands behind Wade Phillips, it's becoming clear that the franchise needs a full-blown exorcism. Something has to change.

Felix Jones (toe surgery) is expected to be healthy by spring OTAs.

Jones is still in a walking boot after having surgery in late November, but he'll be on the practice field in late March. Jones' spot on the Cowboys' depth chart is unclear, however. Marion Barber will remain the starter, but the No. 2 job is probably up for grabs between Jones and Tashard Choice.

I would hope they don't risk Felix at all if there is any kind of risk in March.

Where's the news?

The real subplot is how the 3 RB's are going to be used next season. I'm sure this is going to be the "team divider" next year. Who is going to ***** because they are getting the short end of the stick?

1) The vet that signed a big deal before last season

2) The 1st rd pick that lit it up before getting hurt

3) This year's sleeper that played lights out when he got his shot late in the season

Don't see why we can't get them all carries.

LOL at Felix's spot "being up for grabs". That's no disrespect to Tashard Choice, either.

I hope he gets 100% healthy, because he will put a stop to that kind of talk.

You could build the offense around him if you wanted to do it.

My wish is that they could get 10 to 15 touches each per game, but do you really see that happening with Garrett as OC?

We need a coach with some bowling balls.Romo is living the rock star life with his dumb tool girl and not caring about his job.I am surprised he went south so quickly.I would get a decent qb who can push him.

I don't know about the other stuff, but I can believe that Tony is careless in practice, because how you practice is how you play, and some of Tony's throws in games, esp. late in the season were mind-numbingly dumb and careless, he flung the ball up for grabs like it was a habit

Felix will EXTREMELY important to this offense next season. If Barber starts to show the beginnings of being pounded on too much, injuries start to creep up more and more, his carries may be sliced up big-time.

What frustrates me is that Romo is a guy who was built almost on hard work alone. He's not an overwhelmingly talented guy, but by all indications he outworked everyone behind the scenes and made himself into a Pro Bowl QB.

I don't know if his practice habits have slipped or not, but he can't afford to let them. He must remember his roots.

He was the epitome of leadership three years ago. Gritty, tough and a hard worker, and fearless in critical situations. Hopefully we/he don't lose that.

He thinks he's a philosopher now and his attitude sucks.

But isn't this a great problem to have? This season when we were down to the 3rd stringer without a backup to him
demonstrated the value of 3 good RBs.
