PLAY THE GUY!!!

One of the most frustrating things of this season is seeing Choice languish on the bench every week.

This.

You really expect a new coach and complete new staff to come in here and lead this team to SB in our new stadium, and in one season? I don't care if you could somehow get Tom Landry, or Jimmy Johnson, to accomplish that. New schemes, new assignments, new scouting staff ...etc Just wouldn't happen!

Name me the coach and assistant coaches that could accomplish that feat, that are available. I want to hear this. No one has been able to list them yet, when I ask.

And why all the hate on Barber? Gayle Sayers, Walter Payton, or you name the best back to ever play the game, couldn't make a first down with this blocking and scheme. Put the blame where it really belongs; on the offensive line and the play calling.

That's my signature, not a recent post. I am just not sold that Wade is the guy to get this team to the Superbowl although I'm hoping like heck he proves me wrong this year.

I believe we have the talent or let's say 95% of the talent needed to win the Superbowl. I think we just aren't the most prepared team sometimes.

If you are asking me to name a Head Coach who I feel could take this current 53 (plus or minus a free agent and a few draft choices) and get more out of them than I feel Wade can, okay.. Bill Cowher, Jon Gruden, Mike Shanahan, Jim Harbaugh. That's just how I feel. If there was some way that Wade can stay on as a Defensive Coordinator then I say great. I like Wade, I just don't feel he is the leader we need.

I'm not sure about your Barber comments. I like Barber, I just want to see Choice play more than he is now. If that means less Barber then so be it. The kid has unbelievable heart and desire and some talent to go with that.

if it's the Jerrathor getting in the way, or Garrett just being stubborn ( or simply not trusting Choice's blocking abilities ), but the Cowboys need to go back to " the way it was " ( aka: Emmitt, Dorsett years ).

Line up Crickett in front of Choice, hand him the ball 15- 20 times, bring in Felix for change of pace ( 10-15 times ), make the Barbarian the short yardage back.

Every game this kid is not the feature back is an opportunity for VERY good things to happen the Cowboys are wasting.

It's been obvious since last season.

CHoice has no hesitation which is CRITICAL in short yard downs. Try him now in the same plays as Barber got and see what happens.

The difference between this year and last year is night and day.

I underestimated the Owens factor. My logic was, Owens was worth the occasional headache bec. of the talent. And if the team had true leaders, it wouldn't be a problem.

Owens was more of a distraction than I thought. His production level last year wasn't worth the headache.

That being said, for the life of me, I still cannot figure out why it was a problem last year. Yeah, Owens was a polarizing figure. So what? Why couldn't it have been 52 vs 1 in the lockerroom?

(No, this isn't a "gee I wish Owens was still here" thread. I'd still have cut him even if it was 52 vs 1 because the return on investment wasn't worth it and the decision to move on was correct.... just wondering about the situation, that's all)

A rotten apple can spoil the whole bushel.

Yes, but the more southern drawl "gawd" is not.

Of course, you can't use that because it's skirting the content filter.

In fact, I probably shouldn't have posted that.

Crap.

He has the heart of 22.Runs like him too.He does need the ball.

Wow...That's great to hear!

Having the most talented players is great and all, but I hope the Cowboys also realize the impact of having emotional leaders like Brooking and Choice; who motivate the other players on the team with their dedication and enthusiasm, and bring out the best in everyone!

It doesn't hurt that Brooking and Choice are also VERY talented players by the same token, but their biggest value in my opinion is how they give 100% of themselves on EVERY play, and motivate the other players around them to do the same.

All championship teams have players like this, and it's something Dallas hasn't really had since Michael Irvin left. Now we have TWO of them...and I hope we hold on tight to the both of them for as long as they play in the NFL!

We need more guys like choice. Less guys like barber. Not saying barber is a cancer but we need leadership and it's sad that it doesn't come from our veterans.

Add in this guy's youth and proven production against the best of the best and still no carries combined with some of Garrett's playcalling are probably the most continually frustrating aspects of this team for me.

You know, if he got some regular carries it just might force Garrett's hand to ease off his default shotgun and three wides...

choice should be used for majority of running plays because of his blend of speed and power, reminds me of emmitt. i know we always say that haha but yeah.

get barber in short yardage/goalline.

Jones on screens outside runs sweeps designed dump off plays etc. Idk just makes too much sense.

Start Choice, compliment with Jones/Barber, close with Barber. (Mix it up, don't get predictable.)

He did the same thing at Georgia Tech. No surprise to me. Choice has emotion, heart, love of the game, and is vocal and a leader.

Love the guy.

Let's see - first of all Shanahan couldn't take a team the quality of "the Switzer Cowboy team" to the Superbowl. He is that far behind the game. He is a cinch for the Skins job. Thank ***!
Gruden is not going to coach next year period.
I would take Cowherd, but he will never work for JJ. He would take a Cleveland job first.
IMO, i don't think Harbaugh could get this team to a SB, and certainly not next year. I would give that less than a .05 chance. Another coach that wouldn't work for JJ - period.

So you did not give me any viable answers at all. Try again with coaches we really have a chance at landing.

this team doesn't just have players, it has men...it has heart.
