Is the QB playing alone? No, he's not. This "put the team on his back" nonsense is just that. The game is 60 minutes longs full of dozens of plays with dozens of players. Sure a player could have a larger role, but the QB is't blocking for himself, running the ball, blocking etc....So no, it's not more than the sum of the team. This isn't fantasy football. I think the QB position is the most polarizing and the common fan doesn't take the game in it's entirety in account.
It's a team sport. When fans use wins and losses and attribute to one player they are not being realistic. I don't care if you're for or against Prescott.
