How else can you explain the great coverage on all our receiving targets for most of the game? Detroit's secondary has been getting torched all season and yet our receivers were getting zero separation. I could have sworn that they knew exactly what play and what route was going to be run on nearly every play.
It reminded me of an article I read earlier this season. "Is Jason Garrett's Offense Stuck in the 90's?"

I think it may be time to move to a more creative offensive mind. We have far too many weapons for us to be this ineffective. I would give Garrett a pass if the receivers are wide open but after watching some of their recent games from the all-22 coaches film I have come to the conclusion that the opposing D knows our offense better than we do.

Our offense lacks imagination. Its nothing more than shotgun formation that uses a lot of 2 tightend sets or tight formation for protection.

We need to a new formation. This 2 tightend system doesn't work in Dallas. What we need to do is spread it out. Have 4 or 5 receivers. This formation stops the blitz from coming because the defense has to account for the extra receivers. This is what made us so successful in Denver. Spread the offense out and let Romo wing it. Thats the secret. Unfortunately, our coach doesn't think so. He is hell bent on running it his way or the highway.

Why don't we motion players like, EVER? We can see if it's a disguised zone or man to man coverage. We don't motion anyone, EVER. Just vanilla through and through.

I think the bigger issue today was Romo's ribs. He was hesitant to pass to open players. When he did pass, you could tell his motion was off what it normally is. He didn't look healthy out there. I guarantee you he's hurt.

Yep. I said this to some people in the bar today. His offense was figured out since December 2007 tbh. Even well before that Ravens game. Garrett or Callahan has no idea how to use Dez. I must have missed it but I saw no slants until the fourth quarter. We rarely screen and we never motion. The offense is very predictable and honestly, since they've shown they can't adjust, what we saw is what we will get the remainder of the season. But it all goes back to who is keeping and bringing these coaches around?

There was a time that every time Romo was under we would do a play action pass.

When we were in shotgun most of the time, we would go with a delay draw with MB3.

These two bread and butter plays of our offense are no longer part of the playbook. Goes to show how inept and predictable our offense has become.
