I've been saying this for years with Romo and now it's the same with Prescott.

There is no magical clutch power or leadership or "winner" trait that will save you if you can't play defense.

We really have to get better at the MIKE and SS. Bryon and Lee have to cover up for these guys. And we can't justify Carr or Crawford's salary anymore and need to put the Randy Gregory hope to bed.

I don't blame Garrett here. Marinelli did a poor job. The 'substitution plan' was a complete disaster and we looked completely disorganized in the first half and then the first possession of the 2nd half. We also tackled poorly.

We need a defense that shows up every game. I don't expect utter dominance or even high level play every game, but unless you can get a consistent defense that shows up for every game, you're just going to be hamstrung by it every time.

Thank you for saying it, I can't believe some posters are saying if Romo plays, Dallas scores more points, wow. When will they realize in order to win big games, then you have to have a solid defense. 31 points at home should be more than enough, and in truth 31 points in most cases, should be enough anywhere.

Seems like we had similar stats to the loss in 2014. I think it was Romo having a QB rating of 100 or something like that and losing.

Our defense continuously finds ways to lose games.
