Teams we need to lose this week

In theory, but the Cowboys don't seem to play any better at home than on the road.

To me, it's like playing 8-ball. If you start thinking about setting yourself up for the next shot or the next 2 shots, then you can end up missing what should have been an easy shot.

I hear what you are saying and to some degree it has merit. But in the case of Seattle with all that noise, I would prefer to avoid playing there. Moreover you seem to see a little home team referee bias especially at the very top of the seeding. Personally, I'll take any advantage I can get.

Lol. Boy. Going out on a limb there. They are 8-1 to win SB at this point so 3-1 to win out season seems more than fair.
You realize that 3-1 is unlikely not likely. You contradict you're original point.

The primary goal is to win the division. Don't root for an NFC East team unless they're mathematically out of contention.
lol for one thing, who we root for has no effect on the outcome of games !!
if it did I would be rich !
And catch saying better if eagles win is him looking at the big picture, and seeding.
Eagles have 4 losses, and a loss to us, so odds are slim they catch us.
Why?? they would have to not lose any more games, and we would have to lose 3 more, with one loss to them.
if we lose 3 but beat them last game , they are still behind us.

The key being they dont lose any more games, and odds are they will, they will struggle to finish above 8-8.

The giants are the biggest threat, and skins are a slight threat, if we beat them the 2nd game that gives us another edge over skins.
The giants, we have to win the 2nd game or they have a edge. but they have to keep up with us in wins.

Au Contraire.

If large numbers of fans start talking about #1 seed stuff, then the media will start asking players and coaches about it. Once the questions get asked (repeatedly), it can get into the minds of the players. Once that happens, the fans have indeed influenced the team.

Brah...you offered a wager where you take little risk and the other side of the wager takes significantly more risk (you have to be right one time vs. my 7 times)...you said you were confident in your position. Then the first follow up to the invitation, you ask for 1-2 odds in order to make said bet - which is COMPLETELY absurd!?!

They are an 8-1 favorite to win the SB...if I am "confident that they will likely win it all" then I am taking the 8-1 odds and placing down the wager, not shunning the oddsmakers' handicap based on some distorted sense of reality!?!

If you want to wager with someone and take the least risky side of the wager then YOU need to offer odds...otherwise you're just trying to play someone as a sucker and that ain't happenin' here, chief. But if you want to make a proper wager then I am ALL FOR IT.

If Vegas placed 3-1 odds on a team to win it all or win a division (or something similar), that would be viewed as pretty dang close to A LOCK...otherwise known as "fairly likely"...smh.

Why are you rooting for the Eagles? We need them to lose.

I can understand hoping for Philly to beat Seattle. Philly has a very tough schedule ahead of them. If they could get this one on Seattle, then blow it the rest of the way, that would be fine with me. Provided Dallas takes care of Baltimore (no easy task but doable), I would not mind more cushion in the conference.

Quite embarrassing how such large part of the members on here can't comprehend that an Eagles win is more beneficial for us

I'm with you @CATCH17 ...this is a no brainer

By the way...AZ plays Minnesota

Yeah..but Seattle plays much better at home than on the road...

This is a no brainer...we want Philly to win..they won't..but that's best case scenario

Rooting for either the Eagles or the Seahawks? That's like rooting for either a trip to the dentist or the proctologist. If either of them loses, that's fantastic. But if either of them wins, that's awful.

I'm rooting for both of them to lose.

I'm just wanting the two wins this week. Sitting at 10-1 feels pretty darn good.
