ok not sure if any are traded away, but going to list the teams currently up for the top ten picks.

1.Houston Texans 1-9-1
2.Denver Broncos 3-8
3.Chicago Bears 3-8
4.Los Angeles Rams 3-8
5.Arizona Cardinals 4-8
6.New Orleans Saints 4-8
7.Carolina Panthers 4-8
8.Green Bay Packers 4-8
9.Indianapolis Colts 4-7
10.Detroit Lions 4-7

other 4-7 teams more likely to win more games
Jacksonville Jaguars
Las Vegas Raiders
Pittsburgh Steelers
Cleveland Browns

So these teams hold the top 14 spots in draft, and probably should tank rest of way, but many
will keep trying to win games.
I think Houston is the only one tanking on purpose, and they probably wind up with #1 pick.

Dallas faces one of these teams, the colts sunday, I think colts would like to upset dallas,
but if they get down early I doubt they fight hard rest of game.
Their coach probably wants to win to keep his job, but depends on how owner feels about it.
They still have math chance for playoffs lol . but no realistic chance.

Rams are a surprise to be so low, I think they should go for the high draft pick, if it wasnt traded away.
even still, they would pick high in rest of rounds.
Similar for bears and broncos, might as well go for the higher draft picks than try to win more games.

be interesting to see who wins the high draft picks.

Fun to talk about the top teams, but bottom teams are interesting from this perspective.
They tanking or not? or are they just that bad?

Denver's pick goes to Seattle.
The Rams' pick goes to Detroit.
The Saints' pick goes to Philly.
Cleveland would pick in the top 10 right now and their pick goes to Houston.

The incentive to tank sort of goes away when another team gets the benefit.

Amazing how the mighty have fallen. Rams are the defending Super Bowl champs with a lousy record and no #1 draft pick. Denver and New Orleans aren't in great shape either.

Weird not seeing the Giants / Commanders in there pulling top picks,,, I like it.
Broncos are sitting in a prime spot for QB, I wonder if they'll take the opportunity or "ride" with Russell. :muttley:

Jerry should secretly buy another team...Then he could trade all of that team's picks to the Cowboys.

Unfortunately it would only remain a secret if Jerry didn't know about it...

Maybe Stephen Cap Boy Jones can pull it off.
- He could dump salary cap hits to that team.

Eagles Seattle and Chiefs absolutely fleeced teams that tried to copy the Rams model. Hate that they were able to squeak out an SB before they fell apart just one year latter.

rams are no model in team building.
Yeah, they went for it and hit the home run.
So in their minds it was WAY worth it.
But now comes the pain
:muttley:

To be fair, they have been completely decimated by injuries this year. Unimaginably so.
6 Olineman hurt? I think at one point they were using practice squad guys.
Top 2 WRs out with one being all-world last year? And that after losing OBJ as well.
Plus so many other injuries.

But big spending usually hurts your depth, so there's taht to go with giving up the draft picks.

the only team you could realistically fit into that rams model is miami and it seems to be working out for them

Lost von miller too.
they may be back in the saddle next season, and it is hard to keep any SB team intact.
