I'd take 1 Super Bowl like they just got you wouldn't?
Yes, but there is no guarantee of that happening.

Many teams have tried the All-In approach and failed.

The Patriots never took the All-In approach. Their approach was to always make the playoffs.
17 post season appearances in the Brady era.
6 SB wins means 11 times they lost in the playoffs.

Jaylon Smith was also a pro Bowl player and drafted in the 2nd….that means nothing. He’s a pedestrian dime a dozen player.

This is exactly why your comments don't hold weight. Did you even look at his stats? In 2021 he was 38th in sacks. If you minus the 12 linebackers and 4 defensive tackles he was 24th in defensive ends. That's a dime a dozen player? Sure there are better players out there, but to classify him as not a good player in 2021 is ridiculous? I know you hate the eagles, but making blind comments like this is silly.

ok not sure if any are traded away, but going to list the teams currently up for the top ten picks.

1.Houston Texans 1-9-1
2.Denver Broncos 3-8
3.Chicago Bears 3-8
4.Los Angeles Rams 3-8
5.Arizona Cardinals 4-8
6.New Orleans Saints 4-8
7.Carolina Panthers 4-8
8.Green Bay Packers 4-8
9.Indianapolis Colts 4-7
10.Detroit Lions 4-7

other 4-7 teams more likely to win more games
Jacksonville Jaguars
Las Vegas Raiders
Pittsburgh Steelers
Cleveland Browns

So these teams hold the top 14 spots in draft, and probably should tank rest of way, but many
will keep trying to win games.
I think Houston is the only one tanking on purpose, and they probably wind up with #1 pick.

Dallas faces one of these teams, the colts sunday, I think colts would like to upset dallas,
but if they get down early I doubt they fight hard rest of game.
Their coach probably wants to win to keep his job, but depends on how owner feels about it.
They still have math chance for playoffs lol . but no realistic chance.

Rams are a surprise to be so low, I think they should go for the high draft pick, if it wasnt traded away.
even still, they would pick high in rest of rounds.
Similar for bears and broncos, might as well go for the higher draft picks than try to win more games.

be interesting to see who wins the high draft picks.

Fun to talk about the top teams, but bottom teams are interesting from this perspective.
They tanking or not? or are they just that bad?
As long as Pittsburgh has a losing season,I'll be extra happy.

Help me understand how 38th in sacks is considered more than pedestrian? I never said he wasn’t a good player. Comprehension is key. You brought him up like he was a star and he’s not.

Coaches rarely commit to tanking.
- Remember the 2019 Dolphins. Their owner really wanted the top pick. They lost the first 7 but ended up winning 5 of the final 9 games.

Who hired Jimmy? Hiring Jimmy was no sure thing.
By the way, Jimmy was a hot coaching commodity when he was hired by Jerry.
He had several NFL teams showing interest.
So his hiring was no long shot.
But props to Jerry for hiring him, and staying out his way.
I think Jerry's record the last 27 years show his level of skill as a GM.

Which was my point…they are paying old aging guys who happen to be starters…You have youth that you think will be good one day but let’s don’t kid ourselves. Eagles roster is a mess because they’ve done some screwy things in the draft. Derek Barnett is not a good football player. You bring up Josh Sweat? Not a good football player. Eagles don’t have many starters that could start on other teams and that’s a issue.

(Quick reminder, I guess you don't remember posting the above)

If you want to triple down instead of just admitting you are wrong have at it, but being accountable for what you post is key.

I don’t remember saying it so I’ll retract my statement. He’s not a bad football player he’s just not good. Fair?

I appreciate the response, but you can't have it both ways. You said, "I never said he wasn't a good player" and now "He's just not good" What's fair about that? On average there are 64 starting DE in the league, last year he ranked 24th in sacks for a DE, that's better than most starting DE's. I agree he's not a star, but he's more than a dime a dozen player. I can agree to disagree.
