Ted Ginn Jr. got ran down from behind by Notre Dames Zbikowski ( who runs a low 4.3 40 himself) and it wasnt an angle based run down. he literally ran him dwon from what I remember.

Better find the tape on that one, because I don't remember anyone in is whole career running him down from behind.

and if he doesn't run a 4.3, will you do the same?

I'm not the one saying book it like you.

Back up your Book it statement.

why don't we make it interesting? he runs faster than a 4.45, I won't post for a month, he runs slower than a 4.3, you don't post for a month

you wanna be smart, put your name in the ring kid

I never said how fast he'll run let alone book it.

But since you said he'll run 4.45 Book it, that's the mark I had a problem with.

I'll bet you that he'll run faster than a 4.45. Interested?

you have to put a time down

so if he runs a 4.40 neither of you will be able to post?

hmmm, interesting

yeah, I would have to say if he runs faster than a 4.4, then I won't post for a month, if he runs a 4.4 and above, he won't post for a month, I'm down

I did...anything faster than a 4.45 since that's what he's going to run according to you.

a certain time, you know, be brave

btw, Troy Smith looks great today :lmao:

BO ran like a 4.16, not sure how that ranks among the fastest ever but thats damned fast nonetheless. 40 times are utter crap anyways, world class sprinters laugh at the way football sprints are timed.

You said 4.45 Book it. That's your time. I say 4.44 or less. There's your certain time. What not so sure about your 4.45 time anymore?

I'm willing to bet that Ginn doesn't even run at the combine. He'll take advantage of hand timing on the notoriously fast Ohio State track.

He isn't going to run at the combine after he hurt his ankle...he'll wait longer as he should and do his private workouts.

I must add that this is my opinion...I don't know this as fact.

Lots of potential first rounders don't seem to heal in time to run at the combine. Is he that much of a wuss that an ankle's going to keep him out of action for a couple months?

Ginn's people understand that the only thing he has is speed and his only shot at the first round is going in the 4.3s so he won't run at a neutral site against his "competition". He'll run at Ohio State's pro day so when he puts up an artificially low time, scouts won't have anything to compare it to.

I don't care what Ginn does or doesn't do now, he's a Pro now and not at Ohio St which is all I care about.

Ankle injuries can last more than a couple of months...His people are being smart. He's going in the First round period unless he falls down and demonstrates that he's incapable of running anymore.

As far as running at Ohio St...I'm sure the Pros will time him there themselves also.

Ginn wont run until his pro day....

He will run between a 4.27-4.35..

If Huff ran a 4.38 and and , Ginn will be faster...

Also.. To say Ginn will run a 4.45 is really ignorant. No way!!

And Zibokowski cant run a 4.3. He might have some decent straight line speed. (maybe 4.49) but he is too stiff and doesnt accelerate quick enough to run that.

Truth be known Ginn may not even be the fastest player in college this year. Jamal Charles of Texas led the nation in the 110 m hurdles as a senior with a time of 13.69. NOt saying he is faster but I bet it would be a good race.

Of course they were excited(in bold black), and why they switched him, plain and simple,to get more touches (in bold blue)

Played for his father, Ted Ginn Sr., in high school ... was selected as the USA Today Defensive Player of the Year ... also a 2004 Parade All-American ... SuperPrep named him as its 2004 National Defensive Player of the Year ... Most Valuable Player of the U.S. Army All-America game ... also played quarterback, wide receiver and running back for Glenville and returned punts and kickoffs ... intercepted eight passes as a senior, returning five of them for touchdowns ... one of his interception returns went for a state-record 102-yard touchdown, while another went for a 97-yard score ... also passed for 932 yards and 12 touchdowns and rushed for 845 yards and 17 touchdowns ... named one of Ohio's three 2003 Division I Offensive Players of the Year ... returned four punts and one kickoff for touchdowns.

You all can predict a bust, I'll predict (as I have since he was a freshman, no Johnny come lately here) as an intriguing combination KR/PR/Terry Glenn type WR/Nickelback. His skill set should have him in the NFL for a long time.

Ginn could be in the league for a long time. He reminds me of Eric Metcalf. A mutli-talented guy that can stay around for a long time. I just would not spend a top pick on the guy. That is where I see bust. He won't live up to his draft status. After a few seasons, that doesn't matter as much. Those first few years and initial contract it does matter.

Gregg Ellis didn't live up to being drafted #8 and I see him as a bust because of it. At the same time as the years go by Ellis has proven he is worth having on the team. He is indeed valuable. Teams need those kinds of players. Ginn could follow a similar type of route in the NFL. I just don't see him as an impact player that he has been touted as in the media.

You'll not find anywhere where I pointed to him as a top pick....I've held firm as to a 20-30 selection. His 'draft status' is not of his making(or is Greg Ellis's).....the bust part would be on the people that rated him so highly. I'm shocked to see several draftnicks have him there.

Also, I was supplying information on the defensive back question and as to why he didn't play there. It seemed your impression was he must have really sucked at it because they never played him there. The reality was because he proved to be a more explosive offensive threat, and the fact they were very deep at DB.
