Ted Wells: 'Richie Incognito, JohnJerry and Mike Pouncey, engaged in a pattern of harassment directed at not only Jonathan Martin ..
'but also another young Dolphins offensive lineman and an assistant trainer.'
"We encourage creation of new workplace conduct rules and guidelines to ensure players respect each other as professionals and people."

Aaron Nagler ‏@Aaron_Nagler 2m
"Nearly every player we interviewed had a strong reaction to Incognito. Many of them emphatically stated that he was a great teammate."

Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora 2m
Ted Wells report on Dolphins concludes improper touching, homophobic language toward a trainer and players: http://www.NFLDolphinsreport.com
The report speaks to repeated pattern of improper racial and sexual comments directed to young OL-men and the assistant trainer

Albert Breer ‏@AlbertBreer 1m
Wells: "Player A frequently was subjected to homophobic name-calling and improper physical touching."
Wells: "We find that the Assistant Trainer repeatedly was targeted with racial slurs and other racially derogatory language."

Wells report says OL coach Jim Turner texted Martin AFTER he left team urging him to make a statement taking pressure off Incognito.

SI_DougFarrar ‏@SI_DougFarrar 2m
"After Martin’s mother attended a team event, Incognito, Jerry and Pouncey began mocking Martin with sexually explicit jeers about her."
At that point, somebody's going to the hospital if that's me. What a bunch of scumbags.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 2m
Jonathan Martin paid Richie Incognito a $10K fine, by check, for failing to attend an OL gathering in Vegas, per Ted Wells’ report. Wow.
Richie Incognito kept a fine book for OL kangaroo court. On 11/3, he texted players “They’re going to suspend me. Please destroy fine book”

Aaron Nagler ‏@Aaron_Nagler 3m
That's swell. RT @BFeldmanCBS: Incognito/Jerry/Pouncey mocked asian-american trainer, wearing Japanese headbands on Pearl Harbor anniversary

Doesn't appear the truth will set Incognito free as he said in a tweet.

There is something creepy wrong with that dude.

I would be the first to say always treat others with respect, ... to treat others as you would want to be treated. I raised two sons with that line of thinking, and teach this on every team I have ever coached.

Having said that, .. does teasing/hazing/bullying not go on at some level on every pro and/or college team, .. even high school at a lesser level? Also in clubs, school bands, .. and also in many many work places.

Why have they jumped on this case like Incognito/Martin are the only ones, when there are many many other examples just like it going on?

Why are we hearing about this like it is the first time this has ever happened?

I knew the excuses would start coming soon....

Shouldn't the scorn be directed at all three of the malefactors: Incognito/Jerry/Pouncey?

LOL, .. struggle with reading comprehension issues? .. I never defended, nor took up for what Incognito did. I did not side with Incognito.

I only wondered why other similar cases are not being scrutinized like this one.

You can keep waiting for the excuses.

Yes, and there are ongoing concerted efforts to wipe it out in most of these environments. See the anti-bullying campaigns in schools, anti-fraternity hazing campaigns on college campuses, harassment rules, required training and processes in most workplaces.

Persumably because there was a complaint. And it has been publicized because the circumstances (Martin leaving the team) were so, um, public, and people want to know what came of it. Also: some case has to be the first. (I have no idea if this was the first, or simply the first that became so public).

Why are we hearing about this like it is the first time this has ever happened?
It is the first time (to my knowledge) this has ever happened, where a player left the team because of it and made a public accusation.

As there should be, .. it needs to stop.

But it is a long way from being gone.

After hearing about Pouncey, I think the Dolphins would be wise to get rid of him. That guy is poison. Supposedly, players went to his house for drugs, the Hernandez association, and now the racial harassment, and possibly threats of retaliation against a teammate. I think the Dolphins need to get to the root cause of this situation and it isn't just Incognito. They have some serious problems down there in Miami.

They need a whole new O-line. 4 of their 5 starters might be gone. 2 are gone already.

Fins owner will probably have to clean house now; they wanted to keep Filbin but with the whole staff basically saying
"See no Evil, Hear no evil, Speak no Evil" he really has little choice.
