Telling stat of the game

That's what happens when the defense spends more time on the sidelines. More rest, means better performance. That's what Romo does. He keeps drives alive.

Yes, but did you know that we led the league in Time of Possession before this game with Romo? We were averaging 33 min per game. This is not only the reason. Defense was more in conditioned this game, and the sacks came when we needed them the most. Key stops that we were not getting in other games.

Not trying to kill the enthusiasm, but two of those sacks were on the last drive when there was around 1 minute left and the game was over.

I will take it. During the 7 game skid the D couldn't get off the field in the 4 th Q for anything. That cost us at least 4 wins. With Romo back the D can take some chances that they couldn't without him. They can play more aggressive. And also being up by two scores late helps a lot too. But regardless of any of that, I will take the sacks no matter.

so stats do lie??

We used to complain about D Ware not making those type of plays so there's that too

I think the point Reality is making is when the game was in question (the first 58 minutes or so), there was very little pass rush.

Funny how the performance of one man can affect the performance of the entire team. That man does just that.

It was the Time of Possession stat that impressed me... When the other team only has 20 minutes with the ball, but needs to score 25+ points to win, most teams will suffocate under that pressure...

According to some the game wasnt over and they cant believe how STUPID Garret is for not punting the ball because if they score quickly all they needed was an onside kick.... I agree the game was over

The biggest reason we won is that when the offense was needed the most, to score points to help close out the game, Romo led the team to points.

Weeden and Cassel often were not able to do that.

That helped the defense not feel like it was all on them at that point.
