Tension between Red & Romo

Yesterday driving home and listening to 105.3 the fan they were reporting there is confirmed tension between these two over Romo giving his speech this past season. Apparently Red didn't want Romo to do this and the two haven't spoken since. Shocked I haven't red this anywhere else on here today but if this is true pretty pathetic imo Red would take this stance. Romo was 100% class in what he did taking a back seat and putting the team first. I hope this little tidbit doesn't become fact cause Red's stock just continues to plummet..imo...I get he is the HC but Romo has been the face of this franchise and deserved the right to do what he did.
That would not surprise me at all. Romo is an intelligent guy. He may have played nice for the cameras when he was the starting QB but seriously, he knows Red basically wasted his career to this point. Any intelligent person realizes this. If I were Romo, I could not care less how Red feels after squandering six seasons. 2015 proved beyond a shadow of a doubt Red can't win without a superstar under center and he should count his lucky stars we have found two of them not even counting how incredbly lucky we were to get Romo as a UDFA and Dak in round #4.

We weren't even targeting Dak, but Connor Cook for that pick and he was taken right before Dak fell into their lap.

If you look at it, every decision that was made that bred success for the Cowboys was built on removing Garrett from the equation. The Red-Headed Chosen one didn't even allow Romo in game-planning meetings and this actually was forced from top-down by Jerry, when the new contract was given to Romo. And after this move, we saw Jerry basically starting to toy with the idea of a totally new OC, after one year of success by Bill Callahan with the new running game. Then Jerry brought in Linehan and basically said Jason wasn't needed in the offense anymore and when asked about his role, basically left it vague. Even BC was here, because Tony Sparano took the Jets job and they were trying to bring him back (again showing no direction) and Bill Callahan became available from the Jets.

Hell, our whole offensive identity with Garrett in charge was his refusal to run the ball and go pass-happy. In fact, he couldn't even field a running game which was the whole reason for Wade trying to bring Dan Reeves here.

Of course, the political spin is this was Garrett's plan all along, but in the end, it was all confirmed for the deniers that Jason was a head coach in training by none other than the FO.

Jason and Tony will be fine. Eventually.

In a Romo interview today though, I did get the impression (thoufh it was not directly said) that late in the season Jerry for sure wanted Romo playing, while Jason wanted to go ahead and keep Dak in there...not just because of the wins but because he liked having someone that listened to him and did just as he told him to do.

For example, Romo for sure overrules the spike play:muttley:

Btw, i was not in camp rwmove Prescott...just saying what was discussed.

Why would anybody believe Romo would be allowed to give a press conference on the topic of the QB situation in Dallas against the wishes of the head coach? That's just dumb.

Because there were reports that the Red Clapping Butt Slapping Genius didnt even know it was happening until it was started.
