Yep. He has tagged Henry a couple of times too this year. Those guys are probably trying to make tackles while keeping their heads on a swivel for the location of Mr. Roy. :p:

Roy also took out D-Ware in a recent game. Had him lying on the field for a while. It really isn't funny. I think Roy receives some unfair criticism, but he does need to concentrate on making the sure tackle instead of the big hit. Wrap up, Roy.

Would I like Newman to make a few more plays on the ball, getting him a few more INT's?

Yeah.

But not at the cost of giving up plays. If he can generate picks while maintaining the same great coverage skills, then yeah, I am all for that.

Unless I'm not remembering something, the only time Ware has been shaken up was when he leg-whipped Canty while making a tackle.

I was scared to death when he rolled around in pain for a second. Losing Ellis was enough, I'd hate to see our pass rush without #94.

I wonder how many more years the Roy apologists will be screaming "HE ISN'T USED RIGHT!!!!"?

Guess what?

You play in the secondary. Your primary job is coverage and Roy isn't very good at it.
I absolutely agree with you. i love Roy but he's just not a great Safety...

Why does everyone want to narrow it down to one player? Usually a player they dislike?

Why cant it be like Newman said the entire defense and not anyone specific?

Because then, it wont give these bored people, anything to talk about.

Shoot IMO He was talking about Henry. HE's pissed off the Henry hurt his knee and couldnt take the INT the distance, i think imma start a thread about it

No wait, he was talking about Andre Gurode, yea thats who he was talking about:laugh2:

He didn't "take him out" but he was hurting, compliments of Roy. Looked like Roy hurt Wares hand and Ware stayed on all fours longer than normal. Against the Falcons I think.

I'll tell you one thing, Newman was correct because this defense has under performed for half the year...

When I first saw it....I thought Julius. Julius came out last year and said his goals were something like 2K in yards and 17 TDs.

Then you have julius saying hes a little pissed hes not getting the time he thinks he should. I would imagine that Julius thinks hes something special and does his fair share of talking so I think it could be Julius.

Of course, like most have said....its probably the front 7. Even more specific, Canty, Spears and James. Ware, Fergy and Ayodele have done their jobs and I doubt the collective crew over at OLB opposite ware is doing a whole lot of talking.

Roy has 5 times as many interceptions as 'the true shut down corner' T-New. Just an interesting stat.

And gives up more touchdowns in a quarter than Newman does in a season.
