The season has not started but for Terrance Newman it's the same old injury but a different day. He has strained his groin. Terence is good but can we get him on the field. We may need to just go with the young guys. They all had a great game when we played the Commanders at RFK 2008. Terence is our best Corner but here we go again. This is not the type of injury that just goes away with rest. It bothers you throughout the year. The season is just under a month away. What do you think zoners?

I think Newman will and should start. I hate that he is dealing with a minor strain but it is a minor strain and Newman is a very talented CB so I play him as long as I can.

Me: Everyone should wait to see just how much Newman's 'injury' will impact his effectiveness during the regular season.

Welcome to 2 days ago.

Yeah, but it's fun to gnash and wail about. Camp's been going so well, there's been very little to overreact to, so a nice precautionary groin pull is refreshing.

The Cowboys have already done what they can.

We have drafted Mike Jenkins, Orlando Scandrick, Deangelo Smith and Mike Mickens in two years.

Now you play Newman when he is healthy but don't pressure him to play hurt.
If you can save him for big games then you do so.

I'd probably use TNew as the nickel corner and rest him a bit early in the year and then in key games where we faced a stud Wr ask him to go shut them down.

Normally, I'd say it is football just go play but after 4 or 5 poor December's in a row I am all for changing up my thinking.

One big problem I have with the Boys is that they continually send players back before they are fully healed then are stunned that they get injured again.

Most overhyped corner we ever had.

Flame away. :star:
Why don't you start a thread about how we could have drafted Nnamdi and screwed up with Newman. :banghead:

In your sig I think Irvin has the worst statue in the Hall of Fame. It doesn't even look like him at all. I wouldn't recognize him if they asked me who that was.
