Terence Newman Groin again!

No need for flaming. This was the last thing that should have happend but it did.

Worst decission was to trade Henry away. We should have given them Tnew instead (of course for more value). Let the injury bug hamper him one more season and we won't get alot for him anymore. Better trade them when they have worth on the market....

Tnew always seems to start his career "this" seasons or from "this" game on. Then there are alsways excuses why he couldn't play up to his potential. And potential and talent does he have. But his fans seem to forget that staying healthy in football is also a talent and a important one.

cause Henry was never injured right? :lmao:

No not because of that. Just because of the problem that we could not afford to trade both CBs.

If Tnew "career" will follow the path like it has taken the last two years there will be not alot of value we will get in exchange for him if we'd trade him.

The other point is that Henry in my opinion (and not only in mine) played better then Tnew last season. Of course because Tnew was hurt but exactly THAT is the theme in this thread.

So please read my posts and try to understand before you laugh about them. I tried to explain it simple as possible so it should not be very difficult for you ;-)

I agree except for the Henry part. Henry was terrible.

Henry is on the decline - for sure. But we have a team that relies heavy oin the pass rush so we don't need true shutdown corners. But we need conrers who are available at gameday.

Also Henry played well in the FS rotation.

So why not let Henry play another year ? Instead trade Tnew for Kitna and a maybe second pick next year ? We could have drafted another CB next year and then cut Henry.

Who would u chose:
Asante= 6 year 57 Mil, 6 Mil Signing bonus 28ys old..
Newman=6 year 50 Mil, 12 Mil. signing bonus, 31 years old

We should have signed Asante or the raiders dude i cant pronounce last year when they were available and dropped the Twinkie.

In the last two seasons he's started 21 games out of 32. He's played in 23 out of 32.

Good thing he hasn't only played for two years then huh? But you have to leave out the other 4 cause they don't support you're idea that he's 'hurt every year', right? Figures.

It's the last two years that count. You can spread it over 6 years if you want though.

Of course only the last two count. If you had to count his entire career then the 'hurt every year' idea would be shot to heck. Big surprise there that only the last two years count.

Asante easily and he actually intercepts the ball.

Last thing is because he turns and looks for the ball. Something Tnew only does to ask his teammates "didn't you cover him ?"... ;)

Didn't they franchise tag the guy from the Raiders? So now you're wanting to give up 1 or 2 first round picks in order to sign the guy to a 10+ million dollar a year deal?

Seems like an awful lot to give up for one player.

LOL at the butthurt Deion fan who obviously resents the fact that TN was ever compared to him.

I'm just disappointed we didn't trade Felix four games into last year. We'll never get anything in trade value for him now.

Dear Thread Starter:

I hope you don't swat your dog with the newspaper a week after he soiled the carpet.

I wouldn't call myself "butthurt" (whatever that means in particular) but of course i'm only a fan of a player who is a good one. Your standards may be lower but that's your god given right. And i hope you make your living in something else then the trade business. Otherwise you should look out for an extra job for retirement security.

But at least you are only disapointed. Hurt feelings heal, bad decissions may linger...

OK, China Doll is hurt again.

But let's not compound the situation by trying to rehab him only to send him back ASAP.

Play the young'uns. Make lemonade out of these lemons the NFL gods have handed to us.

If you don't know what butthurt means, how are you sure you're not butthurt? I think you just don't like the word 'butt.'

You guys kill me, throwing Newman under the bus because of a lingering injury that he has played through. Hell even at 70% Newman is better than most corners out there. Y’all do know that he has a groin “STRAIN” this time right?? Not a tear. It’s a minor injury that isn’t that uncommon in any sport. Maybe, they are holding him out only for precautionary reasons. Every report I have read (or had four read aloud so I could heard) was that Newman looks very good this year.
Those of you suggesting we unload this player need to look back over his career, how often does the guy get thrown against? Newman is the closest thing we have had to a shutdown corner since Deion but yes, let’s all throw out the ridiculous notion that he always hurt, because he missed some games in the past two years. Jenkins sprained his ankle, let’s cut his candy *** before he costs us anything else too. The pessimism on this board kills me, it’s not realism when you have to cut and paste parts of history to make it fit your agenda.

It would be kinda hard for anyone not to recognize his bust inside the Hall since all of the players' exhibits are identified.

Maybe he would be easier to recognize if he had some white powder under his nose.

Dude it was a "STRAIN" last year too.
