Thanks for the interview. I don't hear anything new about Roy from Newman or Roy. Roy's got to do better or he'll be replaced. He says he's happy with his performance but he knows that his team ain't all that happy with him.

Facts, shmacts, I still like Roy and I don't care who knows it. I can admit he needs to play better next season and still like him. The Roy threads bore me immensely. Debating that fact in all these massive threads is a pointless endeavor to me.

From what I've seen, Roy is a great human being, and in the end that's more important than anything he does on the field. But, i do think he needs to bounce back in a big way or his goose is pretty much cooked in Dallas. I can't see him wanting to put up with the constant bashing he receives in Dallas very much longer.

I fully admit that I'm one of the main culprits in the Roy debates, but even I have my limits.

I know it's taken me WAY too long (what can I say? I'm stubborn) to come to the conclusion that it's basically an internet version of Red Rover. One side calls a guy out, he tries to break the other side, then vice-versa.

That said, I'm tired, and I'm done....

I've yet to see anyone say Roy played great in 2007, but I've seen a lot of folks claim that he's a liability.

if tnew says he's a liability in coverage he's also saying he's a bad player. he just said he had an off season by saying he was bad in coverage last year. I think he knows a little bit about coverage. if he says he's a liability he starts drama.

You aren't difficult to take. At all. And you've been like most; stating the facts or opinions without passion and being fair minded. No problems. It's the ones who decide my opinion is incorrect then take the debate into the personal realm. That and having their groupies coming to their aid with more of the same nonsense. That and more.

I like RW. It's just like someone said on there today. RW creates more problems by denial, projection onto others, throwing others under the bus, and just being childishly insensitive to fans and team and ridiculously thin skinned at the same time.

Anyway what was great to hear is that TNew thinks he's doing something to correct the problem. So that made me happy. I'm not interested in piling on, winning the war of words (although I'd like to see one person man up), or anything else. This wouldn't have been a big problem if Roy had stepped up and said my play has been poor here and here and I'm going to do everything I can to fix it. Then acted like it. Where are you going to go with that in a negative way (assuming you are an adult)?

Ok, here is comes. If I said you had a poor season in coverage and needed to work on some things then what else does it serve to say "oh, hell yeah, RW is the biggest liability on the team. And he didn't say RW was a problem against the run. He only said he had a poor season in coverage last year. So how about we don't blow it up further than it is and how about we don't spin it off as it doesn't really mean anything because he said Roy wasn't a liability in the secondary.

Read my lips: Roy had a poor season last year in coverage. No spining by one side and no piling on by the other side.

And yes WG, TNew talked about several other things like contract, money, where he stood about his feelings re Pro Bowl, what others said about not going to the Pro Bowl year before last. Talked about the money he just got and they called TNew as 'tight' then rapidly said no just frugal.
