I understand folks being disappointed when a player gets paid and doesn't seem to be living up to it. I don't understand ignoring that he was injured. IMO, even pre injury, lateral quickness was his weakness. He was just able to cut off most players but it was the max of his ability.

It's not surprising at all to me that injury & age have further compromised that area of his game. I have no reason to believe he hasn't done everything he can to be the best player he can be so I'm not going to dog him because injury has taken it's toll.

If he's not good enough, then absolutely we should seek to upgrade. It's a performance based business. Perhaps he could slide in to G and still earn his keep.

I wouldn't say hes getting better, I think hes just been an average to below average T and this was a lesser level of competition. IMO the issue with Steele really isnt that he is this awful RT, hes actually fine if hes the #4 or #5 guy on your OL. The issue is the Cowboys OL is full of guys like Steele from a production standpoint outside of Tyler Smith.

Really good from Duke Manyweather video about Steele in the Atlanta game. Despite the criticism he constantly gets, he has been getting better and played a pretty decent game last Sunday. You watch and decide:

i think you did OK but accepting average for the money he makes ,is hypocrisy as others on the team don't get that break LOL but you do realize the reality of it they have to throw the ball twice as faster, take off faster ,and miss things down field ie havig to move off your spot as qb because our OL was allowing way too much penetration almost every snap..its still not good but sure he went from bad to average againt one of the worst pass rushing teams in the NFL. and they had their best game of the year getting pressure and sacks,

but sure pat on the back for not being chaz green LMAO. if you don't get the reference, it was also against Atlanta.. got that DL paid LMAO.

Hate to tell you this.....but there were 3 not just 2.
I stand corrected. 3 sacks, an increase of 50% in 1 games against Dallas. If that does not speak volumes about the offensive line I don't know what does.

Another question is why the offensive line coach has not been fired yet.

Play tough and focused. Don't accept convenience for standard. Stay accountable and earn top of country worker pay. Jerry or not.

I’ve seen plays where the Edge isn’t even touched and goes around Steele . This is a classic example of “ what problem he’s just fine “ fill in the blank of the player .
I see Steele stuck in quicksand every game. I don't see good play.

now they're commanding the guy for moving back up to average, improving isn't calling him good just saying maybe he's getting back to not being bad..turstile on the right side with Martin and Stella allowing huge gaps to get the qb killed..that my new name for Steele , Stella!!

I just hope Steele is decent enough to yell "Look out" after getting beat.

Atlanta came into the game with 5-6 sacks in 8 games and left with 3 more ?

Im not gonna tout a guy you say played well vs one of the worst rushing teams in the NFL. He's gonna need to up his game against better competition.
hes likely a post june cut in March.

If he doesn't get beat on the snap/first move he is pretty good.
Atlanta didn't have anyone quick enough to beat him.
But lets see if he can keep it up.
