I wonder if someone like Travis Frederick wants to be an o-line coach. Smart. Crazy work ethic. If Frederick doesn't want to be our o-line coach, maybe one of the posters here could do it. Maybe we could take turns each week. We couldn't do worse.

I'm curious why someone didn't pull him.
Great question.

We were told new Oline coach Mike Solari was a plus and would improve this Oline. Boy was that wrong. Plus, as you stated, why didn't Mike McCarthy pull the obviously struggling Terence Steele from the game? Why wasn't Asim Richards given a chance? He couldn't have done worse than Steele.

Jerry giving Steele that huge contract this summer might be a big reason why Steele wasn't pulled.

pretty sure seahawks fans were really happy when he left, and i mean look at their oline when he was there

JMO, but similar to Gallup, Steele is a nice player but not an elite talent where a serious injury can be overcome in under a calendar year.

He will be fine, just not yet.

I recall the year after Eric Williams returned from his car accident, Reggie White told him on the field….’you need to stop holding me man.’

Williams’ response: “next year.”

Paraphrasing of course, but that happened.

Steele tore his ACL/MCL on December 11th last year. It’s amazing he’s even out there folks. Even though he was awful in this game this has to be a record for returning.

I will also argue that Reddick is Parsons 1B

Play Edoga there. At this point he is better. If Steele is not healthy enough to be effective

They both have 7.5 sacks, so yeah pretty much.

There is an Eagles beat writer who gives his analysis of all-22 mid week after game. He was pretty critical of how the Eagles D tried to defend the Cowboys passing game noting that the pass rush bailed out the secondary so many times.

Main takeaway from his analysis? If the OL, specifically Steele, had held up better, Cowboys would have won and likely dropped 35+ on them.
Interesting…who’s the best writer?

I thought it was the injury but after watching this I think it’s Steele. His technique is awful. His hands in particular. Gets no punch. Lunges. Flails most of the time. His feet suck too. I am sure the knee isn’t helping but I think it’s more technical than that. He looks like he has zero confidence and is being coached by a box of cereal. Just terrible.

The guy was a UFA. Did that pay check screw up his work ethic and attention to detail?

I saw some of his video.

But honestly, this is how Philly wins. The difference with Dallas(minus the Steele meltdown) is they have the personnel to exploit Philly's weak pass D. Against most opponents, Reddick, Carter, Sweat, etc. are all running amok in the backfield all game, so their soft coverage vs the pass doesn't hurt them as much. If Steele's performance is just below average instead of a complete meltdown, Dallas scores 30+. But this isn't a game of IFs. Give Philly credit. They were good enough.

B/t now and playoff time, Dallas has to figure out what to do with Steele or otherwise at RT. He simply can't hold up without killing the offense, if he's forced to deal with Reddick/Sweat 40+ times.

How are we not going 2TE and giving Steele some help? Schoon may not be ready to contribute much in the passing game right now— but he is a big dude that can at least shore up some protection at RT!
How are people not recognizing that when you are playing from behind, you generally spread things out, not bring in an extra TE?

The loss to the Eagles (28 - 23) could have been worse thanks to Terence Steele's 12 QB pressures and 4 sacks given up.

Dak was under constant pressure. He kept the Cowboys in the game all game long. Something needs to be done about Terence Steele going forward for now. Looks like he is not fully recovered from last year's torn ACL.

What say you?

Where you been? It's been discussed for the last 2 days.

Did they get Terence Steele for quarterback abandonment? Because that would seem like something to charge him with too.

Ole!
