My question is simply this - why didn't the Cowboys do anything to help him?

ZERO in-game adjustment that could have easily allowed the Cowboys to win.
Let me take a guess...might be because they MASSIVELY overrate him and always have?

The loss to the Eagles (28 - 23) could have been worse thanks to Terence Steele's 12 QB pressures and 4 sacks given up.

Dak was under constant pressure. He kept the Cowboys in the game all game long. Something needs to be done about Terence Steele going forward for now. Looks like he is not fully recovered from last year's torn ACL.

What say you?

on a side note - Tyron is a brick wall.

Steele tore his ACL/MCL on December 11th last year. It’s amazing he’s even out there folks. Even though he was awful in this game this has to be a record for returning.

I will also argue that Reddick is Parsons 1B
Steele's never been a good lineman, I don't know see what anyone else sees in him.

...I think everyone was shocked. You know the tandem in humans? Where you fight, flight or freeze from dreading moment.

The game was buzzing, the world was buzzing, no time-outs, clock ticking..etc..

MM probably thought, Steele could manage. Not realizing, he was getting worse with every snap.

HOPEFULLY, ... he started working Richards or ??? at RT.

1. Not bad, but not great. Did just enough to let Dak get away.
2. Not really a "pressure" IMO, it took a while for someone to get open, so it was a long play.
3. Did Steele even touch the DE on this one?
4. Steele BARELY touched the DE on this one.
5. Dupe of #4
6. Not pretty, but good enough to stay between the DE and Dak, which happens to everyone at the NFL level.
7. Another barely touched the DE play.
8. Touched the DE, but quickly let the DE get away on an inside swipe.
9. Steele's guy finished the play, but honestly, he Tyler Smith's guy easily beat Steele's guy causing Dak to attempt to scramble.
10. Steele got beat quickly on an inside move, but was able to stick on him enough for Dak to move to the right to avoid the rusher.
11. Another got hands on but almost immediately lost his block, but the defender slipped and allowed Dak to get the throw off.
12. This was play 11 but without the defender loosing his footing.

7 of the 12 plays the QB was hung out to dry. 3 of the 12 were barely acceptable / lucky, and 2 plays (#2 and #6) were not great, but passable at the NFL level.

That looked a lot like the Vikings playoff game were Romo was murdered back there.

I hope they figure this out before December.

Wide nine and he's toast. He's not right out there. They need to come to terms with it and keep rehabbing him while looking at other options for the immediate future.

How are people not recognizing that when you are playing from behind, you generally spread things out, not bring in an extra TE?
If you need to get your RT some help— you do it. Steele’s struggles all game long continued to compromise the offense.

Help him. Don’t leave him on an island

Dude is terrible. If his knee isn't right then shut him down til next season. He is hurting the team way more than helping. No way Asim Richards could of been any worst then Steele was. Does Steele get more money if he plays the whole season or something? Come on coaches time to coach. Shut him down.

May I remind you all we have a OL coach whose been run out of Dodge every 2-3 seasons. His system sucks
The real question is why did we hire that guy? Dude wasn't even coaching NFL football after 2021 NFL Season.
He has been the oline coach for Pete Carroll, Jim Harbaugh, Herm Edwards, Mike Holgrem, Mike McCarthy, Jim More, Marty Schottenheimer and Tom Landry lol.
Dude has been coaching forever but maybe he is just old. he is 68 years old.

Clearly he is not the same player and who knows if he ever will be. We just paid him a lot of money which is why he still on the field. That’s how things work in Dallas. He who makes the paycheck gets the playing time. What should happen is for MM to grow some and bench him. A message needs to be sent.
