Terra Nova debuts on Fox tonight.

Terra Nova looks like crap. Would be better if it were on HBO/Showtime and you could actually see some real action. It being on network television isn't going to make it anything more than a viewer-friendly version of Jurassic Park.

I have a low tolerance for stupid and that is why this show will never be on my tv screen.

Have you watched it? What did you not like about it?

So, the Rangers playoff game last night screwed up the DVR recording of the show. I checked out last weeks that I missed on OnDemand. I guess I don't need to DVR since my cable company makes it available for free on demand.

I will just have to wait until they put last nights episode on OnDemand.

Though I got to say, while I watched it. It still have a heavy cheese factor.

Probably can watch it on the fox website...

I watched a few minutes of it while waiting on House...you did not miss much. Seems like the show was not that good from the start and does not seem to be getting better.

It really does have a scifi channel feel to it.

I forgot to DVR the past two eps, just went to go watch em. I watch all shows atleast 2 eps at a time, Fringe being the exception. Ill try to find it online.

The Rangers game going into the 11th inning would have hosed your DVR off anyhow.

Everyone I know who watched it thought it had some very bad premises and poor internal consistency. They would not agree with the 'smart writers' quote, at least after the introduction. It's been knocked off the watch list for them.

It does sound like Syfy reasoning: 'Time Travel! With Dinosaurs! Must be good SF'

if a show has a really stupid premise I ignore it. This is one of the worst I have heard of in years.

I don't really mind the premise. It really doesn't have an "environmentalist" feel to it.

I thought the first episode was kinda cool, the second episode wasn't too bad, and the third episode was absolutely awful.

That third episode was just terrible. Literally nothing happened. I'll probably watch the next one but if it's anything like the last I've got better things to do with my time (ok, not really :D).

This show is turrible.

They really need to stop playing up that romance angle and get to the scenes where they vaporize dinos.

I still like it. The acting could be better, but I like character development... most broadcast series in this genre just shove the action down your thoat. To me, the "action" becomes more relevent if you understand the people and relationship around the "action". Books are very good at doing this, but TV/Movies have a tough time with it due to time constraints. IMO, the best character development comes when the weaknesses are exposed prior to the heroics. I hope this series develops that aspect.
