You don't get 1800 yards receiving (in a single season) in college without having some talent. Not sure why everyone hated on the guy -- maybe it was a corollary to Dwayne Harris being overrated.
I thought the "agreed" would have suggested that I liked it lolYou didn't even like my post.

Can you elaborate? I didn't think anything he was doing looked too complicated at all.I jumped on the idea of forcing him into the lineup.
The things they were having him do were just to much to ask for a rookie. It seems they simplified things last game and he showed improvement in play and confidence.
I felt like they were grooming him the wrong way and sending the wrong message to the team by essentially giving him the 3rd WR spot over a guy who went out and played his butt off for the team.
The potential for Williams was always there, but I'd rather see him earn his way. He's on the right track now.

Gotcha, that makes more sense. That slant is actually the play I was thinking of...not exactly a complicated route and he still screwed it up lolProbably worded that wrong. What I meant is they came out and put him in situations where there was more risk than reward. For example, the only other INT Romo threw, there was very little upside of him slanting into the teeth of the defense, deep in enemy territory, but a ton of risk.
Opposed to letting him out run defenders and deep coverage and giving him more of a Rookie Moss type role where his confidence can grow and he can actually do more damage (to the other team).
They simplified things for themselves, not for him, by utilizing him better.
If he can be even half of what he was on Sunday, we will lethal. Especially when Miles gets back.
I guess Witten was not lying when he said he's the best number 3 we have had since he's been here or could be. I was shocked to hear that over LR.....but I guess there is some truth to it.
Healthy hamstring or not, I dont think Austin has the burst that has always made him so effective. His days of being more than just a chain mover are probably over.Put TWill outside and AUstin in the slot where he's always done very well and yeah...that's not bad.

Imagine what it'd be if he ran the right routes and didn't drop passes.

This thread is absolutely hilarious. After the SD game nearly everyone was ripping TWill, saying he needed to be benched, etc. Now after a good game and a nice little stat, everyone is lovey dovey?
Nice stat!
