Terrell Davis obviously doesn't think highly of us

last i heard td couldn't even see straight and now he is a "expert" he doesn't even know what teams he's watching half the time!

Hey TD, when we want an opinion from a system running back, we'll ask R.Droughns :)

He's trying to be a shock reporter. go against the norm on purpose to create controversy. So people will get piassed and tune in to hear what he says. He gets no credibility IMO. But there are so many tv / radio shows year round now. These idiots will always be on somewhere.
So he needs to build his reputation on the most popular team in the NFL.

Not unlike a few posters on this board.

well, hopefully the Cowboys play consistent football this year, unlike Terrell Davis who had about 4 great years and was out of the league. Too bad he didn't have the stuff of a hall of famer.

I didn't hear him and what I'm hearing from others is not good. I don't know how good he is as an analyst nor do I really care.

However, because he says things about the Cowboys does not diminish him in my eyes. As a player.

This guy was incredible. I don't know how he would have been with another team as Denver seems to breed RBs. I don't know how he would have done had he remained healthy. However, this guy was one of the best RBs I've ever seen. I think he still holds playoff and SB records and I don't mean one lucky game.

He may suck as a commentor but he was one of the best backs to ever play in this league.

i hope he tore another acl on his way out of the studio. what a punk.

system Rb

Maybe so. Maybe not. You can take away from his play on the field simply because you don't like him. You can make excuses as to why he ran so well. I'm not. I don't like or dislike him. I'm not a fan of his. I am a fan of football. If someone plays as great as he does I give them their due. Just like TO. A great football player despite being very controversial. JMO.

he is not even one of the better reporters I have seen on sports--Wilcots and Ron Woodson are so much better...
same goes for Strahan, just becuase he is from NY and is personable does not make him a good reporter from what I have seen from him

You're worried about what a neandertal says? I mean look at him.

The guys intellectual capacity is less than the voltage of a cell phone battery.

He is a Cowboy hater that lacks any real substance.

Not to change the subject,, but somebody mentioned our defense tanking last year.... Down the stretch, which games did we lose to because the defense played badly.. I only remember two, NO and DET... The other losses our offense failed to produce enough points to win...

I agree, our D sucked royally at times,, but is in no way the sole reason we dwindled in December and one and done the playoffs.

I don't like what Terrell had to say,, but it does concern me that he may not be too far off the mark.

Terrel Davis was a great player when he was healthy, which was not often. I think he is trying to be a shock reporter like jazzcat said, probably because he is trying to keep his job because he honestly doesn't really offer anything else besides his ignorant and uniformed opinions; besides he probably needs the job since he didn't make huge amounts of money in his own career, and probably has NOTHING to do in his own life besides the NFL netowrk.( I felt that way even before his Cowboys comments) I would rather have Dick Eisen or Rod Woodson comment rather than this duche-chew.

You're off the mark bro......

We lost three games in December....and the defense played poorly in all three losses....they even played poorly in our two wins.

Here are the scores from the five games in December.

NYG--23 to 20 (defense gave up 270 yards passing and 126 yards rushing: offense gained 110 yards rushing 255 passing)
NO--17 to 42 (defense gave up: 384 yards passing and 159 yards rushing: offense gained 116 yards rushing 231 passing)
ATL--38 to 28 (249 yards passing 127 yards rushing...offense gained 94 yards rushing 258 passing)
Philly--7 to 23 (222 yards passing 204 rushing!!! offense gained 118 yards passing 83 rushing)
DET--31 to 39....can't bring myself to look at this one.

Now, if you really look at the numbers, our offense seemed pretty solid to good in those games. Our defense was flat out awful....especially our run defense.

The only game we really tanked on offense was the Philly game. But they ran for over 200 yards on us! We couldn't get them off the field.

Most people rail on Romo for his "poor" performance in the last five games. But he still passed for an average of about 250 yards a game in Dec. Now, he did throw 6 TDs to 8 INTs in Dec....but how much of that was just poor play...or how much was it him having to press due to our defense not being able to stop anyone?

Just watched it on DC.com, and I think nyc is pretty much right.

Even if you think we'll just be an average team, at least back up your argument with some evidence and intelligent thought. Davis didn't bring either.

Man, talk about a Cowboys hater. I was watching NFL Today last night, and they had Terrell Davis, former Broncos RB, giving his guess on how the Cowboys would do this year. I about spit out my drink when he said, "I don't see Dallas being any better than last year. In fact, they were doing worse late in the season than when Romo first took over."

Earth to Terrell:
  • Anthony Henry & Greg Ellis were injured late in the year, which really hurt the pass defense. The team expects both back & healthy.
  • The Cowboys picked up Leonard Davis to beef up the "O" line, plus drafted James Marten & Doug Free, both of whom can play OT or OG. They also have Pat McQuisten challenging Kyle Kosier for the LG position. Marc Columbo & Andre Gurode both have a year under their belt at their various positions.
  • The team hired FS Ken Hamlin to fill the void at that position, plus Pat Watkins has valuable experience from last year.
  • A new, more laid back coaching staff has many players stoked about not only a more relaxed atmosphere, but an attacking defense that caters to the individual talents of the players.
  • We drafted another pass rusher in Anthony Spencer, who looks to take some heat off of DWare. Plus, Bobby Carpenter has finally got his head on straight, and had excellent play the last few games of last season, especially the playoff game.
  • From what the offensive players are saying, the offense will be more wide open & player friendly. It even has TO coming in on time...haha.
With all of these positives, & very few negatives over the off-season, I don't know what you've been smoking, Terrell, but pass it on over to me...:)

HA ! TD is fiunny. The real question is what did he say about the Browns next season ?
