Terrell Owens Appearing on 'Dr. Phil' to Resolve Issues With Children's Mothers?

I didnt think i could ever dislike T.O. more than i always have , but this show is making my hatred complete....such a POS
I have despised the guy since the star incident. I didn't like him here and never accepted him as a true Dallas Cowboy and never will.

I'm watching it now. The synopsis of it is "NFL star Terrell Owens talks about his life and accusations of being a deadbeat dad"
Thanks God my Pop told me the value of a dollar. Not sure how TO is labelled being a deadbeat dad though. Certainly he's no Ward Cleever but all the mothers have apparently rec'd hordes of money.
As an aside, if you're a gal looking for a long term husband, why in the name of everything holy would you consider a NFL star?

Because they're not, they're looking for a long-term paycheck and know we have a system that favors the mother in these cases.

You can't prove a woman is just out for a baby-daddy.

Then guys need to use common sense. He was burned once, twice and then a 3rd time. At what point does he learn?

Don't forget Rosenhaus seated next to TO constantly saying "next question".

Hope some of these young guns in sports takes a look at what happens when you father a lot of children out of wedlock with multiple baby mamas...

You eventually go broke and the kids are no longer provided for. They get a huge amount per month when you play the game, and as soon as that short career is over, they are still going to get a huge amount until it is all gone...

$5 box of love gloves coulda saved him millions... smh...

i see a priceless commercial there somewhere. lol

The willy never learns. :laugh1:
Seriously, bagging anonymous chicks is cool, wearing a hat 'in the heat of passion' is puritanical and out-dated man.

That the consequences are miserable for those involved and most tragically for the kids dumped in the middle of that crap, have little to no bearing on that fallacious logic when the topic is broached from an entirely different direction.

/off the soap box.

Well you play the game you pay. Guy is stupid enough to put himself in this position kind of gets what he deserves.

This is exactly why if I was going to play bedroom roulette and not settle down I would unload the gun and play for fun.

Shooting blanks beats shooting checks to different women to pay them for kids who would benefit more from a dad than a check for Mom.

I had a rough upbringing. I suppose I should use that as an excuse to be a putz?

It's not an excuse, it just doesn't surprise me much.

/Had a rough upbringing as well.
//I think I'm okay though. :)

This, although I disliked him even before the star incident.

George Teague, thank you again, wherever you are.

Owens hits new low on Dr. Phil

The whole situation was just sad.

We, the media, roll in laughter when Antonio Cromartie lists the names of his 10 children on “Hard Knocks.”
We fill up the snark tank at the Combine when Janoris Jenkins reveals that he had four children with three
different women before the age of 22. We make jokes about Travis Henry and his various children from
various mothers. From perches way up high, we scoff and we mock.

But there are kids involved in all of these situations. There are sons and daughters with fathers whose
playing days — like Owens, like Warren Sapp, like countless others — won't last forever. [...]

Just a "sad sack" end to what could have been for T.O.: both his career and how he might have been remembered ...

I actually thought the women were the antagonists in this drama.

Let's be honest here, what women has a baby with a man without getting married to him? We all know they were trying to cash in. And at 20 thousand a month for child support, they did just that.

I actually feel bad for Terrell. Yes, he made mistakes...and he is responsible for the mistakes he's made, but 20 thousand a month for child support? It takes my family 3 months of hard work to make that kind of money... and these women need (I'll repeat it again...it's not chump change) 20 thousand a month to take care of a child (that they probably brought to this earth as a cash cow anyway).

I'm just giving yall my perspective...

If poetic justice had a face, it would be Terrell Owens'.

When you are an athlete making millions, it is just stupid to repeatedly get women pregnant. There will always be women looking to have a child with a pro athlete.

These women need to lower their expectations about T.O. being a daddy to these children. It's not going to happen. I don't think he knows how. They need to find a man that will love them and their child. I've seen guys that loved their step-children like their own. My brother is one of them.

My opinion on T.O. is that it's all about him. I don't think he's capable of caring how other people feel. I saw them talk about the little girl and how they were sad that she doesn't have a daddy. T.O. replied, "I've been through a lot in my life.". He just doesn't care. That's not going to change.

He blew through $80 million dollars before he was even 2 years removed from his playing days. TO's history shows that even if the child support payments were lowered, TO would just blow through whatever money he saved on the lowered payments on frivolous material crap and neglect his kids.

There's no doubt Owens is an ***, but they're no better than him. They didn't shack up with a famous athlete to find a stable family life, they're gold-diggers who are now using children as tools to continue mining. If their standards or expectations were any lower, they'd probably be in prison.

I'm not defending the ladies. I'm just saying they need to lower their expectations that T.O. is going to be an attentive father. It's not going to happen. They were on the show complaining about it.

My son's father is a terrible dad. He's very wrapped up in himself. I'm not complaining. I learned a long time ago not to expect anything out of him. It is what it is. (I was married to him for 5 years - it wasn't a casual relationship either).

Mining won't do any good at this point. T.O. doesn't have any money.
