Terrell Owens NOT Suspended Tonight?

Soooo...does it look like the 'gutless' Eagles are trying to find a way to rid themselves of TO for the entire year or not?

Aside from the 'keeping options open" statement (which could be about finding ways to sit him for eight weeks as much as about changing their minds about playing him), so far it looks like divorce, not a separation.

What we do know is a team can be overturned by the league if it 'suspends' a player for more weeks than the league feels the offense warrants. That happened with TG and the Pats early in 2001. The league stepped in and countermanded Mumbles and Kraft.

Probably why Gruden went the route he did with Key.

and they merge 'em for a reason. i don't wanna see 50 "for a reason" TO threads because people think their TO reason is "special".

I'll tell ya what JK... if you did for a "good" I might let it stay. ;)

AFAIK suspensions have to be filed and lifted and must be done during business hours.

It seems this would have to be officially done for it to be so widely reported and thus could not be lifted today.

stop making sense -- we want to call the eagles spineless. we don't want any stupid rules getting in our way.

Right. Reid is going to lose this team if he does that. No way that is true. No freaking way.

Agreed. And I also agree with the previous poster that Reid is gutless if he "suspends" him only to play him that very game.

Where is this rumour coming from? Everyr credible sourve I've ever read said he was suspended indefinately.

we are hearing that after the fight on Thursday with Hugh Douglas that the Eagle players took a vote to have T.O. Remove from the Roster, then went to Andy Reid with the decision. Chances are good that T.O. played his last game with the Eagles.

wow. just freaking wow.

if its true then TO is done there. I think there's a 6.5 mill roster bonus due to him next year -- so he'll be getting cut before that. If this is true they might cut him monday.

keep feeding us that scrapple Amish.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, get ready to witness first hand the implosion of the Philadelphia Eagles, by one man.

I got this off of another board but had to post it because... Well because it is true. Curly

The Eagles will be a BETTER team without TO, I wish they would keep him.

they cut him an opposing team could sign him....

Thats what TO wants here - trying to get back to open market and get another Signing bonus and new contract. Might be backfiring on him tho....
