Jerry wants the press conference to have the spotight, so he'll wait until the divisional round of the NCAA Tournament plays out over the weekend and announce it on Monday to start off a fresh news week. If he announced it tonight or tommorrow, its still playing 2nd story to March Madness.

I'd say somebody probably hacked the tv's web site and did the article...otherwise alot of other places would be jumping all over this

think people...a Lubbock small time TV station is gonna scoop DMN, FWST, Dallas radio and TV, FOXSports, ESPN, NFL Network etc etc...

if anyone actually lives in Lubbock and watches the local news, I'm betting this isnt even mentioned

Yeah I have a suspicion it's legit too... Used to work in small market local news. Small Stations don't really just throw rumors out there unconfirmed. ESPN, yes, because they have a national audience who wants their news the fastest... but it's guys like Clayton and Mort who are reporting under the premise that everything's just rumors around the league.

someone just posted their newsroom claims their story is legit. if it was fake they would have denied it and taken it down

Yet another reason it's probably legit... Stations don't like answering millions of phone calls before the news. They've for sure gotten tons... If it wasn't confirmed, they would have taken it down, after all the phone calls
