Looks like Cody dropped 16lbs and now looks more legit.

Alabama DT Cody down to 354 pounds

Posted: February 27th, 2010 | Justin Hathaway

INDIANAPOLIS — Terrence Cody’s 370-pound frame was the talk of the Senior Bowl last month. Now, the Alabama defensive tackle has lost 16 pounds, somewhat easing concerns about his weight. Cody weighed in at 354 pounds Saturday at the NFL Scouting Combine. He was listed at 365 during his senior season at Alabama, where NFL.com’s Gil Brandt said the lineman never weighed under 356. According to Brandt, Cody needs to drop his weight to 350. It appears he’s nearly there.

I've been ~350lbs, and cutting fat is ridiculously easy when you're that big.

I'm betting he's on the Atkins Diet. You can lose alot of weight fast (initially, usually water).

That would be a lot healthier than diuretics. And if he did lose that weight the correct way that would make me question his dedication for not doing that before in the first place. Either way I hope we don't take him. I could see him having a Sean Rogers career. Dominant every four years or so.

I'm actually happy for the kid, but yeah, easy to lose weight when you're that out of shape to begin with. If he could get down to 340, then were talking. I'm eager to see how he benches.

You presume too much. You act like because I don't want a backup NT in the first 2 rounds that I personally dislike the kid and don't want him to lose weight or something. That is ridiculous.

You skipped over the part where he says he looks like an attractive pick for Dallas in the 2nd round.

Guys with weight problems ALWAYS have weight problems. Never goes away. You have to be on their oversized rear ends all the time and have their contracts written with weight clauses. You have to decide if they are worth all the extra effort and trouble.

I didn't skip it. I made no comment about it. He wanted to take a shot at me and call me out because his fanny is sore from the last discussion on the topic. I addressed that. Nothing more.
