Terrence Newman on Offense

Newman a la Deion Sanders....Hell yes I love this idea.

Lets get Newman the reverse or line him up a WR.

Right.... Cause Sanders was such a superstar on offense....

I think this was just a setup for something to come later; that or it is just a ploy to give DCs something else to think about. They have to wonder what kind of gadget BP has in mind for Newman and they have to respect Newman's speed and running ability (as demonstrated in his punt returns). We may never see Newman run an Offensive play where he is actually involved but the other teams have to be wondering about him now.

want to see how the opposing DB plays him, give the next opponent something to think about, and no you don'thave to actually throw it to him - just let him run a fly, and if he even breaks open then the safety will be worried, trust me...

I know Parcells would rip anyone who says it, and it is a fan cliche, but Terence is reminding me more and more of Primetime. He's becoming a shutdown corner, scaring teams with his punt return duties, and now we have him playing offense. Great to see that draft pick working out for the best!

All he did was line up on one running play....I'm guessing it was something for the Commanders for next week....Newman lines up at WR, see what they do, but probably go the other way entirely...if they respect his speed at all (which would be a mistake since he's never proven he can do anything on offense), that would open up some stuff for Glenn.

I still think it was funniest when he lined up on the DL with hsi hand down and got the sack.

Personally I think we will see something out of this, but not until it's needed most. Until then I would bet to see him out there alot more JUST as a decoy, nothing more. It's almost as if Parcells is setting something up with this.. A few games of throwing him in there, making it look like we're going to go to him, then dont, he sits, on with the game, teams start thinking that's all he out there for (as a decoy), then BOOM we hit him in the most opportune time possible, ie during the Playoffs when we need a spark most.

And you know it can be there when this happens. His acceleration and speed, very few DBs in this league would beable to keep up with him. Combined with Bleds beautiful deep throws, it's only a matter of time until we see it.

I also am starting to think Parcells has possibly taken the "gloves" off where our Offense is concerned. That he's going to start stirring things up finally realizing that this offense is not built for doing "clock management" with it's Oline in such disarray. Not to mention by gearing up defenses to think Tnew is our trick-pony in the stable, it opens up more opportunites for Terry or Key to fool them on the trick plays.
