Way to over react there fellas. We are 5-1. We lost to maybe the best team in the league. A team that has won championships. I mean, we were in the game. It's not like we just totally got smoked. We could not stop the Pats with a defense as gased as ours but hey, it wouldn't have mattered had we gone for a TD or not. We could not stop them in the 4th. It's not that big of a game changing decision IMO.

But yeah, our defense sucks. Everything sucks. Next week, we will win and everything will be all better.

who is overreacting and saying everything sucks? it's just that the coaches didn't put the team in a good position & there is no need to sugar coat it.

the entire game crubled on STUPID (barry switzer-like) playcalling on 3rd and goal from about the 3.

Uhhh, we pretty much got smoked. 48 points, 5 TDs, 12 penalties.....Stunk it up. Now, I thought we pretty much shut down their run, but our secondary stinks and everyone knows it. Aside from Newman and Hamlin...everyone else looked like they were giving EVERYTHING underneath. P**s poor secondary performance. Better patch up the holes or get laughed at again in the copy cat league.

yeah cause just about every team has the WRs to copy what the pats did....

you're defending the fg kick? You think its a good thing for a coach to say we aren't an elite team with 10 to go? The team is 5-1, they certainly are elite in the NFC, and this score is 31-24 with a 4th and 1 at midfield when Kosier held.
I'll gladly change my screen name, this has nothing to do with Parcells, bucko. Phillips has done a good job to this point, today wasn't a good day for him.

I thought there was nothing wrong with it. He said we wanted to be on their elite level, and we showed we weren't. And that we had a lot of work to do to get there.

That's all true.

Or at least, I don't see how anyone can argue with it.

The call and the throw to Hurd were both horrible...when running the fade, it's all you have....I prefer Romo back there looking for anyone who breaks open and even possibly taking off with it.

However, I think the FG was the correct choice. You have to score, and it's 4th and 5? After the FG, there's 10 minutes left and you need a TD with the 2 pointer and a FG, very doable.

If you go for it on 4th and 5 because you don't believe your defense can make them punt before crossing the 50 from their own 20, then you've already given up the game and it really doesn't matter...you have to believe your defense can get a stop...otherwise, what difference does it make whether you go for it or not?
