When you're ineffective on the run, your offense becomes more predictable to any defense.

better yet '06 Owens and Glenn. Been 7 years since we had someone who could consistently get behind the defence.

I wouldn't hate it if they brought back Anthony Armstrong. Of course, its not like this coaching staff would figure out what to do with him.

“I’m extremely disappointed in what I saw in Dallas,” he said after the Cowboys dropped a 17-16 decision to the Chiefs. “I have a feeling we are going to see the up and down of the Cowboys. That’s just the way it’s going to be.”

Earlier Bradshaw unloaded on Cowboys offensive coordinator Bill Callahan, who has assumed play-calling responsibility from Jason Garrett. Keep in mind you rarely hear NFL TV voices slice and dice head coaches let alone question coordinators.

“Same old weak junk we saw in Oakland,” Bradshaw said, referring to Callahan’s days with the Raiders. “It drives me up a wall, five-yard out routes, five-yard drag routes. You have to take chances. You can’t keep running this short dinky offense.”

He nailed it. Case and point was not going to Dez for an end zone fade and instead trying to dump it to Williams behind the line of scrimmage.

I hate to agree with bradshaw, but he is right you have to take chances. PS still hate the steelers and bradshaw.

Everything he said is EXACTLY RIGHT!

Unfortunately there's a fundamental problem with the dink and dunk offense and that's math. If you're only trying to gain 4 yards a play then every play has to be executed perfectly. Any false start, holding, run for no gain, dropped pass or bad throw kills a drive...as we saw today.

Just out of curiosity, why do you hate Bradshaw so much? I understand that he's a steeler, but something other then that?

Well, being a steeler is enough, with that said, I detest all steelers and former steelers . I guess it goes backs to the 1970's when I was growing up and the steelers were the number 1 foe of the Cowboys in post season(2 super bowl loses to steelers in 1970's.

I'm just so disappointed with the offense.

They had all offseason to figure it out and it's just as bland as its ever been.

When will we have a coach that actually gets the most out of our talent instead of the bare minimum?

Why do we call games that keep every stinkin team we play in the game?

What's the point of having a forum if you can't discuss the team. And obviously, when the team loses, people are going to want to talk about why the team lost. I don't think it's because people think it'll change anything, but then again, I don't think anything that happens on this forum changes the result on the field.

If you have a problem with people complaining, maybe you should get out of the thread?

No...

I agree...Panic is the best route

Terry is right... but it's the same routes Garrett was calling last year. Bottom line is - it doesn't matter WHO is calling the plays - the plays themselves rot and so does the playbook.

BINGO!!!

Incredibly deflating and demoralizing to hear this type of talk just two weeks into the season. My emotional investment in the Cowboys continues its unabashed and largely unaltered attenuation.

Until our QB can learn how to beat a blitz it won't matter. Romo is usually very good vs the blitz. He was awful week 17 vs WAS and awful yesterday vs it

As much as I hate Bradshaw he appears to be correct. I thought the first half of the game was handled well. We controlled things for the most part but did not capitalize on certain situations. The turning point was the first drive after the half...almost a 7 minute drive leading to only a FG because we decided to get cute with a WR screen to Williams instead of going to our best athlete who is one on one. It doesnt matter that everyone in the building knows you're going to Dez, that's where you need to go. I'd rather fail on that play than what we did with Williams there. A touchdown there puts us up 20-7. Instead, FG, then we give up some scores and we abandoned everything offensively. When it got to 17-13 it was almost like...oh crap we got to get the lead back and fast!!!!!! THROW THROW THROW THROW. You had about 7 mins left in the 4th qtr....apparently to the OC that meant PANIC!!!!! ABANDON SHIP!!! The ship being the running game.

It's really too bad. It was a golden opportunity yesterday to take early control of the division. We controlled the game for the most part yesterday and then just gave it away.
