Terry Glenn and OTAs

for a handful of plays a game?

This is classic Jerry. Doesn't know when to say goodbye.
It's not like we're paying him much. Or he's taking some valuable roster spot. If we can get 3 catches a game out of him, that's a tremendous improvement over Sam Hurd from last season, when we had the 2nd best offense in the league.

Matt Moore fans say otherwise...

They just want to limit the possibility of hearing that knee pop again before they are anywhere close to playing something that means anything. Why risk injuring him this early when he could really help this team if he can be healthy once the season begins? Its a no-brainer...

The same could be said for Romo and maybe,Ware, but if we roll with what we have at WR and have to go without T.O. for an extended time...we are in TROUBLE! You cant depend on a great TE when none of your receivers scare anyone. WR scares the hell out of me at this moment. In fact this is the last time Im even going to speak or think out loud about TO getting hurt this year. Im REALLY pulling for Glenn to resemble his old self...and I like Crayton, but we need him as a #3.

Jerry needs to learn a few tricks from Bill Belichick.

"From now on, Matt, you're going to be injured."

Only we shouldn't be so blatant that we have him practice.

Sorry, but this 'great unknown' surrounding Terry Glenn scares me. If they can't get any sort of definitive read on it, they need to work on some kind of a backup plan. If he's on the roster Week 1, his contract is guaranteed whether he plays a single snap of football. After that, you're stuck and it's too late.

Crayton is a solid posession receiver, but he doesn't scare opposing defenses and the younger receivers all have the own 'warts'.

I would prefer that the Glenn situation be handled like the Pacman situation. The team gets insurance against not having the players' services and any contributions that they may make are treated as a bonus, not counted upon.

The issue I heard is that if Terry got injured at an OTA, then Dallas could not just cut him. It would not matter if it was before or after June 1st. They would have to work out an injury settlement since he was participating in a team event, which may cost Dallas more money. I don't know if any of that is true, but that was the discussion I heard on the radio.

Why don't they just cut him right now, if they're going to cut him? There's no point in waiting, if the decision already has been made.

They don't want to drive up the cost of trading for Roy Williams. Cutting Glenn now shows they will be desperate for a big name receiver. Maybe? I really don't know nor care that much.

There is so much speculation out there. The simplest reason and most reasonable is that Dallas is just being cautious with Glenn and they should be. The media is trying to read too much into this as they do with every single thing out there.
