This offense was stride for stride (nearly) with New England for most of the year. It didn't have Glenn, it wasn't cheating, and it had a tougher schedule. .

Has anyone taken a look at NE schedule this year...............they're gonna make another run. 14-2 I say, pathetic division and schedule.

Glenn could very well be back............the question I have is will he LAST?

I'm worried here as well, Sarge. The ability for him to get to TC is likely 90+%. But the more he has to work it the more likely for him to get inflammation to the point it becomes clinically obvious. And he has to do something in TC. And he will have to practice at least once probably twice a week say Thurs and Friday. He has the experience in the system and more so in the NFL to need little work to be ready. But Romo has to see him at full speed some to be able to connect well.

I think the possibility of his playing early is very good. Can't say he can stick. There just isn't enough data.

Counting on Terry Glenn to be healthy is a VERY large gamble. The Cowboys should not count on him. If he can play, let it be a great surprise....but the Cowboys need to be prepared to make a Super Bowl run without him. I'm still hoping something happens at WR after June 1.

We didn't have Glenn last year and we had the # 2 offense in the league. Our younger receivers should be better this year given another year of experience. We'll be alright barring no injury to T.O., which is a risk every team takes.

The thought of going into the season with Stanback (injury prone conversion project) or a rookie like Jefferson as a starter scares the hell out of me. I'm ok with getting them some reps in relief of Glenn to help him through the season and keep him for down the stretch while getting them up to speed a little for the 09 or 10 season. But as starters...Please let Glenn be ready to go.

Why do you say that? He had the injury coming out of college. The Cowboys knew that. A few injuries does not make a person injury prone. It was his 1st year. Give him a chance. Remember BP's 3 year rule.....

Yeah. And when TO got a little nicked and teams learned how to game plan us successfully or just better, we got knocked off our horse.

How many players who were told to stay away from organized team activities actually made the team?

Usually, when a team tells you to stay away, it usually means they are thinking about trading or cutting you.

Pacman was told to not show up by TN this year. Jason Taylor was told the same thing in Miami.

It doesn't look good for Terry Glenn unfortunately.

Remember Aaron Glenn last year? Final cut. Bottom line: the Cowboys didn't want to pay his whole salary so they cut him and hoped to sign him after the season started. Someone claimed him. Same thing may happen this year with Terry Glenn.

Not exactly. We lost to the Giants because of stupid penalties, Crayton's dropped passes (which he normally isn't prone to do), piss-poor special teams' play, and our O-line's inability to run block (or block period) in the second half. We out gained by Giants by over 100 yards in that game, we just didn't execute when we needed to. No one will ever convince me we shouldn't have won that game. EVER.

No, we didnt have the #2 O. We finished 3rd in YPG (behind NE and GB). We finished 4th in passing ( after NE,GB,NO). We did finish #2 in points.
Of course not a big difference but my point is we slid back after in fact being #2 by a good margin until Dec.

And we were 17th in rushing.

What can we possible take from this? Without a healthy TO we started to slip back a bit. And we rely heavily on our passing game to gain yards.

So, it may have been wise to beef up this most valuable of positions in our O. And to add weapons that could possibly open the field for prime time producers like TO/Wit. Our success relies on getting these 2 the ball.

That was Tom Landry's rule... Parcells just 'borrowed' it.

Yes, you are right. Wasn't thinking that at the time of my post.
