Some seem to forget TG's effectiveness last season. The guy was a 1000 yd WR last year and now he's nothing?! I'll take him over Crayton in the starting lineup in a heartbeat and even if he loses a step he's still plenty fast. Look @ how Joey G. is still tearing up DBs (now that he's healthy-he never was here) even though he's 35, who's to say Terry cannot do the same? At least see him back on the turf before you retire the guy! I believe he still has something to offer to this offense.

I agree I think he will be a big help but given the fact he has been missing since week 2 of the pre-season I doubt he will be able to come in and play a lot of snaps. I certainly could see him rotating in and out of the game and working in the 3 WR sets

TG made unbelievable catches. I'm hoping we get TG back before the playoffs.

I'm not sure whether he'll be 100% anytime soon but we should be hoping that he will be 100% by end of the season. I have no doubt in my mind that when he returns, he will make our offense better so get well soon T Glenn.

I would expect Glenn snaps to be limited when he does return. I think he will be a big help to the team but with so much times missed being in condition to play a lot of snaps I think would be asking a lot out of Glenn.
I agree. I see Glenn coming in as the third WR in the three WR sets. He will likely play on the outside and move Crayton into the slot but Crayton will go back to the outside and Glenn to the bench for the 2 WR sets.

AS for all this crap about #4 "where he should be"...what's up with that? He is the second most reliable receiver we have behind only Witten. Owens is as likely to flub it as he is to catch it...I'll be glad when we finally replace his sorry butt. We definitely need to draft a WR with our second 1st round pick (I think pretty much we all agree on a CB with the first 1st rounder)

TG is a great receiver - better than TO was last year IMO. He was faster, got more seperation, and was more consistent catching the ball.

Our deep ball went out when TG's knee did.

Definitely something we need to address in the next draft - just not with our top picks - just my opinion.

It is time to throw a 1st day pick at a CB and at WR. And we cannot miss...we have to hit. If we do...we could go on a special run

you are kidding yourself if you think Terry Glenn will EVER be 100% again.......he will return...pop as many pills as he can to get through the season...and give it one last shot to try and win a Super Bowl. Jerry rewarded Glenn for past production...I have NO PROBLEM with that. Which is why Glenn is trying to get back on the field...hind sight is 20/20...but we obviously would have been better letting Glenn go and going after someone like Donte Stallworth. But that is OK....Jerry is insulating himself from having to think he can't live without aging players..hence all of the OL he is stockpiling...hence the drafting of Spencer...hence the drafting of DL over the last couple of years. Now he just needs to do the same in the secondary...we threw a couple of 7th round picks at CB a few years ago to provide depth. It is time to throw a 1st day pick at a CB and at WR. And we cannot miss...we have to hit. If we do...we could go on a special run
I heard the same thing about Ellis.

I think if Glenn comes back at 100% it would be crazy to think that does not improve our team. Simple as that.

and you are kidding yourself if you think he is 100%....these guys are never 100% once they get old...and they certainly are not 100% once they are injured and old. The problem with GLenn is going to be getting in and out of breaks...we are going to have to use him like New England uses Moss...he rarely runs any routes where the opposition can take a shot at him....the one time he ran such route I thought Roy barley missed laying the full lumber on him...he tackled him, and he laid some lumber...but it is so rare that he runs routes that bring across the middle of the field, that I think it caught us by surprise. We need to let Terry run routes that do not require sharp cuts.

If Terry can contribute the equivalent of 4.5 sacks in 4 games, then I'll just keep on kidding myself.

The bottom line is that none of us really know whether he'll come back and we only look stupid when we try and make bold predictions one way or the other.

While I want Terry Glenn back and think he could help. Lets not forget that Glenn contribute to us losing in Seattle. But dont let facts get in the way.

Reading your post... it reads... TO is dropping 50% of the passes his way.

Nice job.

You could say that every player in the NFL is not 100% by the end of the season. Everyone has bruises, sprains, aches, and many other injuries that they play through.

The question is whether Glenn will be as effective as he was before.

I think everyone is pleasantly surprised that Ellis was able to make his comeback. It has not even been a year. I had doubts that he would be back. With him the news seem to sound positive and grow more positive with each passing week. Seems like the opposite with Glenn.

They were saying that Glenn would be back soon. Then he had his procedure and we heard it would be 4 to 6 weeks. It just keeps getting pushed back further. Those initial time frames have come and gone. I am not pessimistic about Glenn's return, but there certainly nothing to be optimistic about, either.

Kinda like Greg was supposed to be back for the start of camp. Then his return date kept getting pushed back. Then we were told he might be ready to play in the season opener after practicing that last week or two of camp. Then he didn't even practice. And it took several more weeks.

Kind of like Gregg Ellis may retire and played his last down for Dallas. Or that he may not be back this season. Those were some early evaluations of his severe injury.
