Terry Glenn..

Austin is this guy. We just aren't good at getting the ball in our receivers hands right now.

There is to many option routes and not enough checkdown routes being run by the WR's.

Teams play a deep zone and we run our receivers right into the teeth of it.

If we would just take what the defenses give us than it would go a long way for this offense.

Austin couldn't shine Glenn's shoes when it comes to route running. Austin just looks like a track star out there. Glenn was a football player.

There isn't many guys who can compare to the route running of Terry Glenn.

Also what have you seen from Miles Austin to believe he is so terrible?

We do an awful job of getting our starting WR's the ball so I don't know why people are shocked Austin isn't getting the ball.

I personally don't like how Austin is used. I think he should be a guy that drags a lot and we throw more short dump off's and let him get upfield.

He is a blazer and he can get upfield quickly.

Yeah I miss those fades Bledsoe would throw to Glenn in the endzone...

Agree 100%. I would love to see some shorter passes to this guy... Slants, drags, anything. We just keep running receivers 10-20 yards down the field and every team knows this now. I believe that is why our passing game has suffered this year.

We still have the personnel to be a dominate passing team, we just need to make some adjustments and we'll be fine.

Yeah, I thought the same thing when watching the Chiefs replay.

Don't think many people appreciated just how good he was while he was here.

I have his jersey. :(

Wear it with pride.:)

By the way, whatever happened to LaTunaNostra? She could write a book about the virtues of one Terry Glenn.

Left town about the same time as Bill Parcells.

I agree but with Redball at the helm it probably won't happen. We can only imagine what our offense would be with Sean Payton and/or Tony Sparano still in Dallas.

On the other hand, with the opportunities Austin has had, like in Denver last week, he single-handedly cost the team 3 points. Those 3 points could have changed the ENTIRE game. Denver would be driving for a game-tying FG instead of the win. I hope Romo doesn't lose trust in the guy but with plays like that, can you really blame him?

There's a reason he was a top 10 pick. You can't just get any quick guy and expect him to produce like Terry Glenn.

I miss Michael Irvin. He was better at it than Glenn, and he was an inspirational leader who fired up the entire team with his passion to boot.

Add one more to it. He was the guy who made every guy on the team accountable for the play on the field. Yeah, his off field issues were an issue. But boy he knew how to keep team together, from hearing him on radio and what Nate says about Irvin etc.

Last but not least, Irvin thrived on making sure you when you have a guy beat, make sure he knows that he was beat :D

I still do, just sad that he's not playing anymore.

He's supposedly an Intern Coach with the Dolphins. I'd love to know how that's going for him.

They were saying yesterday on the radio that inside sources said it was on Romo. :(

True, Ogletree kind of fits that profile... But does he have enough talent?
I'm sure your question was rhetorical but the answer of course is: Not even close. Glenn was a 1st round talent with the speed to back that pedigree up and Ogletree was lucky to make an NFL roster.

I was thinking the same thing today. Terry Glenn was awsome. He was one of my favorites he was always consistent

Miles Austin = Terry Glenn simple as that.
Wow! Just, wow. Austin has 23 career catches. 23!! And you think he's equal to Terry Glenn?!?!?!
