Texan Fans @ The Game

Did any of y'all catch Texans Fan's act at the game yesterday? In particular, before the game tailgating? We TG in the Blue lot right behind the Corall and there was a contingent of Texans fans acting classless for damn near 4 hours. Talking noise, doing the whole "TO/OD" bit. Calling Texas Stadium the "biggest you know what-hole in Texas," etc.

Of course, none of them were around after the game.

Just curious of any of you witnessed their act yesterday. Got to say, most classless group of fans I've witnessed at TS -- and that's counting Eagle Fan too!

trust me if i was drinking and i was at their stadium tailgating i would be talking trash too...gotta love football...trust me the players acutally say a lot worse things about each other on the field...i know you might get mad at the fans for saying all that smack but you cant let words get you mad. especially about football....now if it becomes physical, thats different. thats called overboard...

I actually saw someone in the stands with a custom State of Texas - Texan's license plate with "19-10" on it.

Texans fans were talking trash big time. I visited one of their forums before and after. Before they kept on and on about the 19-10 and that they were going to win. After, they were still talking trash, but didn't even mention the game. They tried to divert from it by talking BS about the stadium, and other BS. hehehe funny

Some exceptions should be noted. While drinking can lower one's inhibitions, it cannot be used as an all-emcompassing excuse by everyone talking smack--unless they're also all alcoholics.

The players have a right to talk trash. They're trying to give themselves a psychological advantage over their opponents. Emotion in sports has produced winning results for the underdog for centuries. However, the Texans were a decidedly recognized underdog. So, what is their fans' excuse for talking smack? To... somehow... gain a mental edge over the fans of the opposing team... which was heavily favored to win? That's just stupid in my book. If you're the fan of a decided underdog, WAIT until your team produced an upset before crowing about it.

Fans can get overly hyped over their team. That's not the problem. The word 'fan' is derived from the word 'fanatic'. No, the problem lies with fans who can't keep their emotions in check--regardless of whether they have been drinking or not.

Opposing fans talking trash is part of the game... I don't do it, but I don't condemn those who do. As long as it is not violent or vulgar.

If done respectfully it is ok, however I am so tired of disrespectful vulgar fans. I can not even take my children to a sporting event anymore becuase all the vulgar drunks. Very sad and classless

Texan fans weren't that bad by me. Some young guys behind me were yelling "OD" and then for Samkon Gado, their running back savior. Go figure. By the end, they were yelling "Man, we suck"

This obnoxious Cowboy fan annoyed me more than any Texan fan. After every play, he would yell "Go Not-Reggie Bush" Or "Stop Cheating" His only funny moment was when some Texan fans who were sitting below us got up early to leave...after the last TD. He said in a sing-song voice, "Bye Texan fans" Texan fan gave him the finger. :

One dude had one of those remote control cars with a Texans flag stuck in it and was sending it around to Cowboys fans tailgates. We made a pact at our TG that if that car came to us, we were going to stomp the hell out of it.
