A lot of teams we are playing down the stretch are going to circle the wagons and declare it their Superbowl for the year. They have nothing to lose and will pull out all the stops.

Fortunately for us they will have to throw the ball for any chance.
If Nico Collins and Brandin cooks are out they won’t be throwing it much

At 1-11 they have tons to lose...1st overall pick is their superbowl this year. There is zero incentive for the Texans to put a competitive product on the field....this is what scares me, lol

It's not Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, or Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, etc, so no need to worry about it this time around.

So Goodell and the refs only intervene when the Cowboys are facing future HOF quarterbacks, as opposed to the Cowboys just losing to future HOF quarterbacks.

They don't intervene on behalf of guys who actually need help, but rather the guys who have made careers of showing they don't need such help.

This makes no sense, whatsoever.

Say that to the Tampa Bay Times. They came out and admitted they have literally noticed the biased calls in favor of Tom Brady and the Bucs simply because of Tom Brady, and the Times is loving it, but they are also willing to admit there is favoritism by the officials. Are you going to call them liars simply because you can't comprehend it happening?

I have a feeling assuming the Cowboys win that the beating won’t be bad as some think. The Cowboys are likely to have a real tough time getting up for this game, so this could be a lot more competitive than expected. If the Cowboys decide not to show up on Sunday this could end up a real shocker. These are the kind of matchups that worry me the most. If the Cowboys were to suffer a major slip up this would likely be the most embarrassing loss in franchise history. Unlike most fans I don’t take any team for granted. Even last weeks game was a nailbiter heading into the fourth quarter. If the Cowboys were to get off to a slow start like they usually do on Sunday this could be real interesting.

Over confidence will kick yo butt.
Not if you're mentally strong enough and physically prepared to use that to fire you up. A killer attitude where all you want to do is destroy your opponent and keep pummeling him until the last whistle blows.

Did you think Jimmy Johnson was overconfident when he guaranteed, "“We will win the ballgame,” Johnson said. “And you can put it in three-inch headlines. We will win the ballgame," during January of 1994 days from the NFC Championship Game between the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers?

End result: Cowboys beat the 49ers and then went on to go win the Super Bowl.

Take a look at the Texans rankings in defensive and offensive points, yards, and turnover ratio.

They are practically the same as their first season as an expansion team.

2022

PF 31
PA 23
O-Yards 32
D-Yards 28
Turnover ratio 29

2002

PF 32
PA 20
O-Yards 32
D-Yards 16
Turnover ratio 26

Hopefully, what won't be the same in 2022 is the Texans beating the Cowboys.

Let's not fool ourselves. There is a possibility of the Cowboys losing, Yes it's a very very small possibility. It exists nonetheless. Certainly, any Cowboys fan that has been around at least a few seasons knows better than to assume a victory.

The Texans have only one possible opportunity to redeem their entire season in the eyes of Texans fans. If the Texans can defeat the Cowboys then that will be the narrative of the 2022 season for the Texans. Poems will be written, songs shall be sung.

I just hope we’re not seeing a lot of activity on this thread Sunday. That’s never a good sign. They’ll probably have to lock it.
