Texans rematch prediction thread

28-17 Dallas. Houston will get a touchdown early and a garbagetime touchdown, but they'll struggle to get into field goal range through the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

We'll get in the endzone once per quarter, three times passing and one time on a long Felix run.

Just for kicks, I'll pipe in with 31-27 Cowboys win. Having said that, I believe this might be the best team in Texans franchise history and I expect them to finally make some noise this year.

Me, too. They're a good team, and they're building the right way. We're a high-profile team coming into their house at just the right time for them to make a statement. It's going to be a dogfight.

Obviously it will look nothing like last Saturday. Not going with a score, but I do see us winning by 7-13 points with a total under 40.

They are going to have a very hard time covering our receivers and handling our pass rush.

It will depend on our defense. If we can stop their running game then we will win.

Sounds about right to me.

Waitasec.

Has it not already been concluded by some that preseason performance will automatically equate as regular season results? If this is a logical conclusion, how can Dallas beat the same team which has already beaten them?

;)
Sheer luck

Schaub was putting balls where even great coverage couldn't stop them, if he stays hot, we're toast.

Quick! Everyone pull out their rabbit's foot and yell, "Let's go team"!!!

I'm just glad rabbits cannot retaliate over having their feet amputated for superstitious reasons. They would be pissed. :(

The Texans had to game plan us to get over their loss to New Orleans. If their psyche is that fragile over a preseason game where the focus is on evaluating talent and not winning games then I say we smoke 'em.

Dont worry i got my horse's foot..................or is it a horse shoe oh well I think the shoe is still on the foot, double luck baby

This is a good Texans team--a playoff team, in my opinion. The game will be close regardless of who emerges victorious.

Cowboys 27
Texans 24

Me too. That is the only chance we have to win.

Well it would help if he's not. But that wouldn't mean were toast. Not even close. Plenty of things a defense like ours can and often does to cool off a hot QB.

Pass rush and well disguised combination coverages.

The Texans a plaffoff team?? For real?? Not a chance. Indy, Jets, NE, Baltimore, Cincy, Chargers, and steelers are all better than Houston. Tenn, Miami are as good if not better than Houston. That is to many teams that are just as good or flat out better than them for them to make the playoffs. Besides, they suck when it matters most.

Cowboys 31
Houston 10

My prediction: Texans 28 - Cowboys 17.

Matt Schaub will have a great game, especially with stud TE Owen Daniels back. Not to mention the emergenceof Jacoby Jones. Can't forget Andre Johnson either. Arian Foster will tear it up, as he has been since late last year (Arian Nation is for real folks).

Our defense will be hurt without Cushing, but Al Sharpton's nephew (Darryl Sharpton) has been making noise in camp. Aside from the first three games of last season, Houston has had a damn good D. Lead the league in three-and-outs, top ten rushing D, etc. The addition of Pollard made it happen.

Don't agree with this. Houston kiled Cincy last season, for one. Houston can easily take their spot for the playoffs.
